Hi! I loved step aerobics when they were offering it through Jazzercise. It's fun to go to class and step, sweat and have a good time. I went 3 times a week back then. Glad you found something you enjoy, that's important. :-)

I would love to be friends with you ladies. I have the same weight goals, would like to loose 30 pounds. I too had lost 30 pounds bout 8 years ago and gained about 25 back in the last 5 years! Lets motivate each other! Tai

All the advice you have received is brilliant. The night splint is great. My foot doctor recommended a Strassburg Sock. Very much like a splint. Check out Footsmart.... as you get older, you start looking forward to orthopedic catalogs instead or Victoria Secrets! :-)

I love this thread. When I first started, I used to whisper, "I hate this!" when I passed other runners. Fortunately they would laugh and tell me to keep it at it. I'm glad they did. The next day/week of the plan always intimidated me too, but felt great when it was accomplished. Anyway, go at your pace. Cheers!

Definitely follow his advice. I injured my knees a couple years ago. By slowing down and shortening my stride as well as leaning a little forward so I land on my midfoot has saved me from a bad knee and back pain. Good luck and run well! :-)

I suggest making a ground turkey and ground beef meatloaf. Instead of breadcrumbs, substitute with oatmeal. It's tasty and with onions, garlic, parsley and some red pepper flakes, it satisfies the whole family! Serve with roasted sweet potatoes and some steamed greens.
