  • Broccoli is a source of calcium but only provides 40mg per 100g serving. Try Curly Kale or watercress which provide around 150mg per 100g serving. Other good sources are celery and Green peas, butternut squash and sweet potato.
  • Beef jerky is my goto snack. One pack (57g) has 22g protein to just 160 calories, the one I eat any way.
  • The artificial sweeteners in diet sodas can stimulate your appetite, making you more likely to succumb to cravings for high sugar foods. There have also been statistical studies that show drinking diet sodas can lead to lower bone density, most likely due the presence of phosphoric acid.
