I just liked that it says the diet emphasizes: Drinking red wine in moderation (optional). It made me smile thinking about what part is optional the red wine or the moderation. :drinker:

I work shift work too. I am a Firefighter/Paramedic. All the books I keep reading talk about how you need to get 7 hours of sleep to take the weight off and have a set sleep/ workout times. That sounds great and all but they don't account for those of us who work 24 hour shifts and are tired the next day. I feel you stay…

I have to keep a food log! My exercise is great.. but if I don't monitor my intake I go over by 500-600 calories (1700-2000 calories a day). Friend me and take a look at my food log. #1 Eating back your exercise cals... you opened a big bag of worms :) Some do some don't. Personally I don't. #2 I agree with you on the drinking. I stick to one drink I am liking the Budwiser 55. #3 I have changed mine to fit my body's needs. 40% Carbs, 40% Protein, 20% Fat. Good Luck! Sounds like you are on the right path

I will help... we are very similar, I work two jobs, and own/live on a large farm. It's so hard to find time to workout when you put in such long hours! Get a heart rate monitor! Seriously it's the only way to track all the things you do! And you have to add in your exercises... I have exercises like haying while others…

Almost all hotels have a gym/pool area. Get up early and do it. You will feel better throughout the day knowing you got you workout in... I would beat myself up all day thinking about how I didn't workout an hour less of sleep is better than a day of regret.
