  • Doesn't sound like she's your friend.
  • Woot woot!!! Congrats and happy shopping :)
  • This is a nice tool. For one thing, it is the only exercise calculator that lists sex as an exercise! Thanks for sharing. Here is one that I have found useful, it has tons and tons of activities. http://www.nutristrategy.com/caloriesburned.htm
  • You're mom sounds jealous. So sorry. Look for more relationships that are more supporting. If you don't have a network, you gotta build it. We are here for you. I know what you mean. BUT YOU'RE DOING AWESOME!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I hate to say it, but when you are really heavy and you lose weight, it is hard to…
  • I lost 40 lbs in six months, an average of slightly over 1.5lbs per week.
  • I took it in steady steps and set up rewards. It took me 6 months to get with the program (completely). For example, reward for self for logging for three weeks (regardless of how much I ate). Then tried to stay within calorie goal (regardless of what I ate). Then starting playing around with healthier ways to eat and cook…
  • Wow, that's fantastic!!!! So proud of you my friend. Great start to this week!
  • And now you made me cry. How wonderful for both of you. I miss my daddy so much. He was a fitness freak all his life. If I was dong what you were doing, it would probably make my daddy cry too. Maybe I'll get there. Luv u Can't! Go get 'em!
  • 2762 calories burned this week (Ripped in 30 DVD, swimming, walking). Doing the best I can under extra work pressure for month end. Anyway being in this challenge helps so I'm sticking with it. Congrats to everyone who is meeting the challenge!
  • OMG you poor thing. Maybe a short email or text whereby you say "hey, do you still only like me as a friend or is there a chance of more?" If he never responds let it go. If you get an answer then great. You probably already have your answer though right . . . six years and he didn't make a move. That is an answer. BUT, I…
  • I finally discovered (2nd pregnacy) that drinking a TON of water really helped with so many of my pregnancy side effects. I had to get to 10 or more glasses a day and then finally . . . morning sickness gone, constipation gone, weight gain not as much, skin clearing up. And yes, I was constantly in the bathroom but well…
  • Weighing in this week at 215 lbs even steven. Down 0.4 from last week (2.4 lbs total this month). I'll take it! That's 2 less butter sticks of me. p.s. Today's profile picture = my motivation to exercise this weekend. This is what 5% body fat percentage and 48% muscle looks like . (The rest if water, tissue and bones = my…

  • For what is is worth, the Weight Watcher program (with many doctors on staff) allows folks to eat as few as 1,000 calories daily (and eith their exercise calories or not), especially if they are near goal. But they meet with folks one on one from time to time. MFP (probably to be on the safe side - liability wise),…
  • Lost 43 lbs without one so far. Just use MFP and certain resources on line to estimate calorie burn. This is my favorite site: http://www.nutristrategy.com/caloriesburned.htm p.s. I'm mixed on buying one because (i) what I'm doing works, and (ii) seems like folks get confused sometimes with them trying to estimate properly…
  • In your case, it seems as though not exercising is definately better. For the rest of us, it works. LOL Having said that, in your case, it seems like you stalled and then took a break and then lost weight. This is not surprising. Also, in our case, maybe best to focus on inches for a while. Okay, but seriously, in order to…
  • I love Ripped in 30 DVD. It really works, burns lots of calories, changes your body shape, can do at home even if weather is not good. Only takes 34 minutes a day. TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES. You'll be amazed!!! Have fun, enjoy, and whatever you do, keep logging, keep the weight off! Change setting to mainenance and…
  • That sounds about right.but I experience also a calm relaxed loose feeling too. After being at this six months I finally have adopted a well rounded workout program of cardio, strenth training and stretching. If you ever don't like feeling that way try swimming. It is a fantastic burn but leaves you calm and loose. As to…
  • At one point when we were dirt broke, I shopped at four different stores each week for sales. I was able to keep monthly groceries to around $600 for family of 5 (all boys, including one teenage boy athlete). I clipped coupons and even shopped at grocery outlet stores and costco to get the amount that low. This came out to…
  • The calorie goal is based on all the input you give MFP (age, weight, lifestyle, how much you want to lose). Mine was 1390 when I started but it goes down as you lose (if you want to keep losing at the same rate), so now I'm at 1210. My projected rate of loss is 1.5 lbs per week.
  • Wow, what great progress you've made. Very inspiring. You should repost with a title like overcoming eating dissorder or something in a few months. I think many on this website would benefit from your story. Keep up the great work.
  • Oh and I make several very low fat, low cal breads (banana bread and pumpkin bread) with walnuts or pecans. It adds about 25 calories per serving, but so worth it to me.
  • OMG, love nuts and so good for you! I put sunflower seeds on my salads and in sandwhiches. For example I make a rad hummus veggie sandwhich and drop a table spoon of sunflower seeds on the bread after I put the hummus on. On days I exercise a lot, I treat myself with a serving of nuts in the evening. Love 'em. I store then…
  • If I didn't have to work (I'm the sole bread winner) AND be the one to get pregnant AND nurse AND get up at night . . . I'd have at least 6-9 cherubs (maybe more). As it is, I have three boys (17, 12, and 6) and definately would love it if I had more, but that's not in the cards as I'm 47 and started too late. If I was…
  • My exercise DVD, because I can do it at home and burn over 400 calories in about half an hour. This way I can guaranty exercise and in turn the abilitly to eat more, even if weather is bad, gym is closed, pool is closed, too dark to walk, or I'm pressed for time. (My current favorite DVD is Ripped in 30). (Plus my body…
  • I don't worry about how many carbs I have (as long as my protein is up, sodium is down, I'm eating lots of fruits and veggies, and I'm feeling full). I have noticed a change in terms of my body wanting warmer/heavier food. I have lots of great recipes for low fat banana bread, oil free pumpkin bread, non fat lentil veggie…
  • Oh how wonderful. That's really great. Congrats and keep up the good work!
  • Wow, you look GREAT!!! Thanks so much for sharing these pictures. I LOVE IT! So inspirational.
