  • That's really cool. Congrats!
  • I am with you. And definately today (not tomorrow) is your best friend! You can absolutely do this. We are all here to help!
  • I'm not vegan, but I love this website http://fatfreevegan.com/. Lots of great ideas and recipes.
  • That;'s wonderful. I agree, most people are encouraging and understanding. And some are down right helpful and inspiring!
  • For the longest time, I would not spend money on new clothes or nails, etc. because I was saving those things for when I lost weight, but frankly I felt so ****ty about myself, I just kept gaining weight. So I recently have been focusing on happiness and looking good and the result is that I feel good about myself and now…
  • There is no doubt that being a short, older, woman makes losing weight harder. I resent it but it can be done. We simply can't eat like other people do. I'm 5'2" and 49 years old.
  • I'm looking for extra support too. I was successful for about 16 months then I fell off the wagon for about 18 months. I've been back on track for about two weeks and am looking for a little more support (since many of my old friends no longer log on). I'll send a friend request.
  • I'm in a similar boat. I have wonderful and supportive friends but nto enough of them. I fell off the wagon over a year ago and when I returned many of my friends were no longer logging on regularly. Friends request sent.
  • Replying so that my friend, who is also getting married next March, can see this post! Congratulations and good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • "And they are still mean low life."
  • He brings me coffee in the morning and makes my bed, and does little things like put a new shampoo bottle out if he sees I'm almost out.:flowerforyou:
  • Many thanks! Now these photos look a little odd to me, rather than glamorous!
  • Lots of great advice here. I went to the Good Feet store and bought arch supports. I put them in my shoes and problem solved. It took several weeks to build up my arch strength. They have arch inserts in different colors and ones that work with all sorts of shoes. http://www.goodfeet.com/ How I can go without them and be…
  • You know, I don't really know how to fix ____, why don't you call a professional and have it done right?
  • I guess your body carries weight that way. It sucks and is unhealthy. My sister is pear shaped. She is already tiny on top and huge on bottom and when she loses weight, yep, she loses more on top so she looks even worse than she did before, until her body starts to finally lose below. As you know spot reduction isn't…
  • You're my hero! Congrats!
  • Well, frankly, the less you wear the better. Nothing worse than trying to run or stay warm in wet, heavy, cold, muddy clothes. If you plan to do any of the swims, then you want light weight attire. If you are going to get muddy, then you want less material for mud to cling to. Just do it as fast as you can and get warm as…
  • I love my Brooks. They are wide and my toes have room, and still a great fit!
  • LOVE THIS AND YOU!!!!! You look like a different person, because you are!!!
  • Oh my goodness!!! You should name your abs!!! Good news all around. That is just amazing (and just like you)!!! Hugs and love!!! So proud of you and happy about all you have accomplished and all this good news. :flowerforyou:
  • Can't wait to try! I have a jump rope in my garage. Thanks!
  • It is hard to be perfect or to make too many changes at the beginning. For most people, just sticking within your calories is challenging enough. Once they have calories down, then they add in the exercise. After that, try to up the water. I eased into my fitness frenzy over a six month period (but then I had a lot more to…
  • YAY!!!! You need more of a warm-up and cool down. Just do what you can do and you'll get better, no worries. It will really get you in shape and you'll lose inches and look better. Take at least 1 day a week off. If you can do all three levels in one month, fabulous. If not, stick with level 1 as long as you need to.…
  • Sounds good. You are losing so keep it up. If you stall, then time to change it up. Have you considered "couch to 5k" it is a 9 week program (only 20 minutes, 3x weekly) with walking/jogging intervals that takes you from walking to jogging. It is awesome. Something to keep in mind for down the road. Also Jullian Michael's…
  • The fear of women becoming bulking is unfounded. Unless you plan to lift 4 hours a day for 6 months or something. Hey, if you ever become bulky I'll shake your hand (and then you can lay off the weights for a while until you are no longer bulky). Bulky takes a TON of hard work. Having a well rounded workout is best =…

  • Sounds like your activity level is going to decrease. I suggest uyou chjange your activity level on your MFP setting. That will adjust your daily calorie goal.

  • It would help if we could see your dairy. Generally it is super tough to pull it all together, but perfection isn't the goal. You might try working on one thing at a time. If you are staying within your calories, that's great. Next add exercise. Then maybe try to eat more fruits and veggies, etc. Very few of us hit all our…
  • Most folks agree that the key is to keep your processed sugar under MFP limits. Nothing wrong with fruits and veggies. Just watch the obvious sweets and hidden sugars (such as yogurt and instant oatmeal).
  • Taco Bell is one of the healthier fast food restaurants (real lettuce, real cheese, and no trans fats in the beans). Taco Bell does have healthy choices. Other than being high in sodium, you could do a lot worse.
  • I'm young at heart, if that counts. Feel free to add me.
