Temperatures are similar here and I honestly don't have any expensive gear but still run outside. I wear my same old sneakers, throw on my workout capris under a pair of tracks and a workout shirt underneath a hoody. Gloves and something for your ears are obviously essential... But it doesn't have to be an over the top…

What is an intolerance test? and no, I don't eat a lot of cheese or chocolate. But I do get more sugar than I need throughout the day (something I have gotten better at limiting, but can't seem to break through completely). As for coffee, I only drink one cup a day! I'm usually okay if I go without it. I tend to wake up…

I don't log cleaning and only log my walking if I've been walking a long time carrying my daughter (ex: when we do groceries I carry her strapped into the wrap). If it's not strenuous I don't log it. I feel like I'd be "cheating" by logging my everyday cleaning or walking around.

I take it they are larger treadmills? lol I also live in an apartment. We do have a very large bedroom though.

It's normal for your weight to fluctuate a few pounds from day to day, even from morning to evening it will fluctuate. Thats why it's suggested that you weigh in once a week, at the same time. And using the same scale of course as your weight will differ scale to scale. That being said, Sorry I have no idea on a good scale…

why are you avoiding crunches? Just curious as I had a baby 2 months ago... Definitely have the ponch still lol But have started a workout dvd that involves different kinds of crunches.

I saw this on dr Oz- Some guy saying he had a diet where you limit your sugar to 15g a day. and that honestly seems impossible to me. I ate a pear for breakfast today... it had 16g of sugar.

Selfs Ultimate Destress Yoga - I love it!! I've literally done it off and on for years and thoroughly enjoy it. It's not fast paced or overwhelming but it's very effective in the long run.

So if I'm going over on my daily sugars (with mainly sugar from fruit etc), but am still under my calorie limit, I shouldn't be worrying about it? Well, Thanks, lol. It's ridiculous all the conflicting messages/information I've found online.

I always end up going over on my sugar intake (as logged here on mfp). I have had a helluva time with junk food or anything sweet in the past and I'm trying to get away from that. So, I'm trying to keep to my daily sugar intake and yet always end up going over. I've also heard that our body can't tell the difference…

@ Virginia- I definitely plan to keep running for as long as I can. I love running, I run often, and I'm good at it and based on what I've read as well there's no reason to stop!! =) @ Tricia- thanks. It's helpful hearing the opinion of someone who's finished the workout!!

THE LION KING best disney movie of all time <3 and my favourite phrase... well it's more of a scene when Rafiki hits Simba on the head with his coconuts on a stick thing, Simba then asks "What was that for?!?" to which Rafiki replies "doesn't matter! It's in de past!!"

@ BeFitMom- Thanks so much!! Very Helpful!

I use my HRM and usually burn between 300-400 cals per workout (except with cardio abs, of course, which is much shorter and less intense). Heart Rate Monitor=Great investment lol editing to say, of course calorie burn varies for everyone and I wouldn't suggest using what I burn to gage what you may be burning..

I run alone when I run outside.... I like the idea of a dog, but we don't have one. lol. I never run when it's dark and I just make sure I'm always aware of my surroundings. My spouse doesn't like me running outside either, but you know what- I want to run and I'm not going to let anything get in the way! Besides... I…

Well.... I don't have a personal trainer, but I have a running coach. And over the last few weeks, my running has been steadily improving in ways I never imagined!! I personally think having a trainer could be a fantastic help for many people and if I could afford one, I would love to work with a trainer!! Until then, I…

I am currently on a mission to find a store that sells dried strawberries and dried kiwi- they taste like candy and although I'm sure they are not as healthy as fresh fruit... it's got to be better than munching on real candy !! lol

lol I feel kind of lucky reading this- I started out with no boobs but when I gained 20 pounds, all of a suddenly there they were.. I'm down 11 pounds and am happy to say my chest has stayed the same!

I've heard muscles will retain water around them after a work out. Not sure how exactly it all works though

5'5, daily cals 1330 (6days/wk exercise), GW was 120 but I'm now 129 and don't think I need to lose much more than 1 or 2 pounds max =)
do you find Insanity helping more with the tummy area than 30ds? thats my problem area after 2 c-sections.
I'm not far enough into it to be sure yet- but I can try to keep you posted!! It is a super intense workout though.

for any runners- I'd suggest installing the "runtastic pro" app. It was free and it is absolutely awesome for running outside!! (tracks route, avg speed per mile & overall, elevation gain/loss, etc etc, everything you need!)

You can do it!!!! If you want to run, get out there and run!! Start slow, do some run/walk intervals, push yourself and stay strong!! Listen to motivating music, have faith in yourself! Don't let your weight stop you, we are all capable of running and if you truly want it you can do it. =D I have faith in you!! **push…

I finished the 30DS, loved the results in my arms, back, and shoulders. Didn't lose any off my tummy area, but there is a faint definition of secret abs there!! lmao- if I lost a pound or two in the tummy, you'd definitely be able to see them. Started ripped in 30 but I found Jillian extremelly annoying in that DVD (lol)…

Omgosh, take a rest day!! lol Maybe if you'd had an easy week it wouldn't be so bad to skip it... But your only going to get more and more exhausted if you don't rest it up lady =)

All last week I was dead tired!! It was awful... I thought maybe I had over exercised, so I took 2 rest days (instead of my normal 1) and also started taking multivitamins again. Am feeling much better this week!!

I always wonder about the "toe shoes" (as I've always referred to them as... prior to knowing what the heck they were). lol. But can someone please elaborate on the idea behind these "toe shoes"? ?
