Insanity DVD's

I just started the insanity dvd's yesterday but I dont really know how to calculate the calories lost. Does anyone know how I could do this? :drinker: :flowerforyou:

    I use my HRM and usually burn between 300-400 cals per workout (except with cardio abs, of course, which is much shorter and less intense).
    Heart Rate Monitor=Great investment lol

    editing to say, of course calorie burn varies for everyone and I wouldn't suggest using what I burn to gage what you may be burning..

    a trainer on here told me to use running at 6 mph to calculate calories for these workouts. I as well just started using them on sunday-- they are definatly intense! Good luck!!

    I use my HRM as well and burn around 400-450 a workout. I was burning more in the beginning but as I got in better shape my calorie burn has decreased.

    Before I got a HRM i used Circuit Training General to log it. It was pretty close to what my HRM reads.

    Buy a HRM, they're really a good investment and the only way I can know exactly how many calories I burn. I got one for $40 at Target.
