21st of January....there's no way....or is there?

68.54 running...Trying to lengthen one run out of the week and subsequently having to shorten the rest so I don't injure myself. But I did get my farthest run in this past Monday at just over 8 miles!

I'm 5'6" as well. And I'm fitting into size 8/10 US. AND I'm 167 pounds. You're my MFP doppelgänger. I never thought it possible.

Almost two years into counting calories and 100 pounds gone, I can stand behind the not giving a damn what the scale says. With lifting and running my body is morphing. Watch your body and not the scale!

Incredible! I love stories like this. Congratulations to you both!

So amazing. So inspiring. I love it.

Do not become frustrated! (says the person who is constantly frustrated) I have been lifting 3x a week alternating running 4-7 miles 3x a week, I'm on a second round of NROLFW while I read Starting Strength. This regimen has been consistent for about 12 weeks now. I have lost maybe 3-6 pounds throughout. BUT my clothes are…

I plan on reading through Starting Strength over the December holidays and starting that once I am finished with this second round. I'm impressed with myself this time around compared to the first time. Comparing data has helped keep me motivated. What do you plan on doing after you're finished?

I have been running between 5-7 miles on alternate days of lifting. I'm really liking going through the NROL4W again. I know much more than I did the first time around and comparing the gains is incredible.

Amazing!

Thank you all for the congratulations! It took me seven months to finish due to having guests occupy our basement this past summer where we have our "gym" set up. As far as losing inches/weight, nope, not really(I only measure my neck, waist, and hips). I started out very weak. But now I can lift my six year old over my…

I've lost 97 guinea pigs!

This was something that bothered me after losing weight. It hurt so bad to sit in the tub, right on my tail bone. Once I was a few months into weight lifting the pain subsided. Hooray for butt muscle!

We don't make the choice of who we are related to. I have a younger sister that I haven't spoken to in a year. We're polar opposites. I am also quite socially anxious and she found it her duty to humiliate me in front of mutual friends. I am so much happier and relaxed by cutting it off with her. Sure, at times I am sad…

I don't think there is a person here that lacks motivation. You definitely do not lack motivation. Lack of discipline is what we face when we relapse. I don't think you should punish yourself emotionally. That is counterintuitive. It alters your discipline. I assume you brush your teeth daily. You have mentally disciplined…

I drink 160-200 ounces of water a day. I love water. And I found that I don't have to watch my sodium intake. In fact when I was cutting down on my sodium I felt lethargic and dizzy because it was all being flushed out. Water energizes me, keeps my complexion soft and blemish free, and I rarely experience headaches. Listen…

bump....my husband and I both prefer whisky over whiskey.

I am beginning a weightlifting program on Monday. This is actually quite helpful. I need to be reminded to push myself. Thank you!

Yes. I live in Seattle and I was at Pike Place Market getting a few provisions with a friend. We were walking by one of the produce stalls and this girl was slicing an apple and offering samples. I politely declined and she asked why I didn't want it. So I told her I am pretty strict about knowing the caloric value of…

It is an amazing feat to do so and continue to go further down. Willpower is amazing stuff. Happy 100!

Articulate and eloquent. I agree wholeheartedly.

bump. Thank you!

I drink 160 to 200 ounces of water daily. I feel fine and my body loves the hydration. It really depends on the person. I'm 5'6.5" and 161 pounds. I did find one thing I can't restrict when consuming that much water and it's sodium. When I restrict the sodium I start feeling sick and at one point my lips turned blue. Not a…

Easy. Weigh the entire dish, divide the weight by the number of servings you want. If you have the calories calculated for the entire dish then that is easily divisible as well.

I am probably starting this late but I came across the thread and I am right on track with 30DS. I did take today off because on top of starting level 3 yesterday I walked about 14 miles. Which was not my intention and was spread out throughout the day. I just like seeing I'm not alone in this ridiculous workout.…
