carbs: bread, potatoes, pasta. Still healthy in moderation but will up your calories.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the Daily Smut to be honest. Pay no mind, another few articles like this and the law suits will see them going the way of the NotW.

Thank you for this. And thank you to everyone who has replied. x

Thanks for your replies. I was kinda hoping for a medical professionals advice on this because as I say, I have read only good things about it. I want to know if there are any long term issues with it.

Haha! I was soo ready to (b)itch slap you there. :-)

All of these weight centred shows are unhealthy. But the person's health is never at the forefront of anyone's mind when making the show. It's all about getting big results. If you look at a show like the biggest loser, they put the contestants on a very strict low calorie diet and the work out routine is ridiculous. They…

The 1st to die in your pants. James Patterson. I just started the woman's Murder club series. Not overly impressed to be honest.

People who use the word "Ignorant" to describe rude people are Ignorant of the definition of the word Ignorant!

I really hate it when the kids from the college come in and hog all the machines but don't actually use them. I really hate loud grunters. There is a guy I see quite often who goes on the bike and I swear, you could hear his grunts in France! There is also another really freaky guy who is there a lot who talks and…

Wow! That is amazing. I wanna hug you so bad right now. You are so inspirational and awesome and brilliant and every other great word I can think of. Seriously, I have seen a lot of success stories on here but yours beats all by a country mile. Amazing, truly amazing. Well done. xxxxxxx

Everything used to give me heartburn, and I mean EVERYTHING! Even water! It was so bad sometimes that I would wake up in the morning with the most horrendous morning sickness, throwing up battery acid, or that's what it felt like. It was so bad my eyes burned. The doc put me on a high dose of Omeprazole and that seems to…

I don't want to scare you, cos this might not happen to you, but in my experience when I lost 4 stone, mine didn't just shrink, they sagged too. I'm only 27 years old, I shouldn't be able to bounce them on my knees! They have since firmed a little, I'm hoping for a complete recovery eventually but I think it will take time.

That's barbaric! Not to mention goes against the laws of nature. I have truly never read such an horrific notion in all my life. I hope to goodness that this "idea" never becomes common practice.

I have been on Orlistat for a year. That's the higher dose, prescribed version of Alli. It does work for me but I have to work hard to make it work. It's not an easy fix like everyone thinks it is. Also, it can be extremely dangerous for some people so I suggest getting regular check-ups, especially liver function, if you…

It's difficult to tell because I used to eat all kinds of takeaway and junk food and I used to stuff myself till I was almost ill, but now I have no cause to log these thing cos I don't eat them so I'm not sure how many calories they would be but if I had to guess I'd say maybe 10,000+ on a regular basis. Wow, looking at…

Thank you everyone who has posted. I never expected such a big response and I appreciate every single one of you taking time to reply. There are some very helpful suggestions here. I usually keep an eye on my heart rate and I don't let it go above 180, where as before it was up in the 220s. The tightening of the leg…

Yes, I drink lots.

Thank you everyone who has replied so far. It's not low blood sugar, that was the first thing they checked at the hospital. And I always eat before I go. I get plenty of protein since I eat lots of chicken and I eat plenty of carbs since I haven't yet been able to give up bread. I take multi-vitamins which include iron.…

Thanks for replying. It comes on pretty quickly so by the time symptoms start, I'm already on my way to fainting, unfortunately. My mum comes with me and watches my colour so I don't get too red but sometimes that's unavoidable. There are other gyms in the area but none I can afford unfortunately. Thanks again for your…

I completely agree with this. I was one of those people who went to the gym and then ate all the burned calories back and then some and kidded myself on that I was doing everything I could and that there must just be something wrong with me. It wasn't until I finally had the epiphany that I actually started to loose…
