Intermittent fasting?
Has anyone ever tried intermittent fasting? Did you benefit from it? I have read up on it and so far I see only benefits (not including the being hungry part) and I'm thinking of maybe trying it for one day a week for a couple of months. Would really like to know what others think. x

Is anyone else taking Xenical/Orlistat?
I have been on these tablets for about 5 months and have so far lost just over 3 stone. About 2 months ago I fainted at the gym. I have fainted a further twice since. Lots of people suggested several reasons why this could be happening. I'm over doing it at the gym, I'm not eating enough, epilepsy, heart problems, etc... I…

I need some advice please...
I just started going back to the gym after a 5 month break. (I actually got kicked out for fainting... no, that's not a typo.) I got my all clear letter from the doc and I'm back. But it's always in the back of mind that I might faint again. We never did entirely work out what caused me to faint but they did establish that…

(TMI) If the discussion of normal bodily functions offends y
Hello, I know people go off on one about folk posting things about their bodily functions, so I will try to keep this as brief as possible. I got back on the healthy eating wagon on Monday. And so also started taking my Orlistat again that same day, which, if anyone takes it will know that it makes you very friendly with…

Help, my boobs are shrinking!
When I was younger, I got teased something terrible because my chest refused to develop. But as I put on the weight, they grew and grew and grew and well, you get the idea. I tried on a top the other day that I hadn't worn for a couple of years because it was too small for me. But when I did fit into it, I really loved the…

Huge NSV! Don't read if you hate "women's stuff" posts.
Some people might not want to hear this but this is massive for me so I just had to share. I have had two periods a month apart. Now this might sound daft but when you take into account my periods haven't been that regular since I was in high school (10 years ago) and also remember that one of my inspirations on my profile…

Help, I'm in a never ending battle with food!
I was doing so well. I lost 20kg in 5 months. But recently, in the past 2 weeks I'm finding it increasingly difficult to stop eating! It's like, the more I know I'm not supposed to eat, the more I have to eat. I'm sabotaging my own weight loss and I don't know what to do. I put on 0.3 of a kg last week and I fear the gain…

Opinions on this book please
http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/dieting-book-for-six-year-olds-is-this-too-much.html My fat loving friend had a fit when I showed him this article. He said that kids should be just left to be kids and shouldn't be made to worry about diets and that all this book will do will create an increase in childhood anorexics. I…

BIG BONES???
Hello, Not sure if this is a daft question or not but I need to ask it so here goes.... I am 5 foot 7 inches and I currently weigh 17 stone. According to doctors advice, my ideal weight is around 9 stone. The problem I have here is the fact that my bones are huge! And I don't mean that in a fat person kidding themselves on…

I'm getting really worried about my brother....
He eats nothing but McDonalds, Takeaway and junk food. He usually only eats once or twice a day but when he does eat his calories can top over 3000 per meal. He does zero exercise. Quite literally, the only exercise he gets is the occasional walk between his room and the front room, which can't be any more ten small steps.…

I'm curious to know what others think about this article...
http://uk.health.lifestyle.yahoo.net/Dieting-unlikely-to-make-fat-people-slim-say-experts.htm It kinda knocked the wind out of my sails a bit, but you know what? They are wrong! I am gonna loose the weight and I'm gonna keep it off. And personally I think it was wrong of them to even print the article. They are basically…

Fat loving friends are counter-productive.
I have a friend who really loves big girls. In fact, the only reason we met is because he was attracted to my lumps and bumps. Which is great for someone who is happy with being the size of a whale and is prepared to take all the bad things that go along with being that big. But, as much as I love my friend, he drives me…

Just joined and looking for support
Hello all, I just joined this site. It looks like it will be helpful. I have been dieting for around 4 months and in that time I have lost 2 stone but I would like to loose a lot more. I try to get to the gym around 3 times a week and I spend one day a week with my 2 year old nephew so I consider that a workout day too.…
