Most restaurants aren't on any kind of calorie tracking site, because it's the customers who put them there, not the companies them selves. The companies that do publish their menu and calorie information, sheesh, it's enough to make you not want to eat out... You think you're eating a 'reasonable' meal of fries, burger…

My advice to you, would be to just keep on keeping on. Don't let this get in the way of your day, or your life. I phased out my meds and now exercise is my stabiliser, and when I don't exercise for an extended period, the darkness creeps back in. Sometimes it's a long reprogramming phase, but eventually you will level back…

The coffee is already ground, so you just pop them in the cafetiere and add hot water, and then filter out the grounds before serving :) The only reason I store it in the fridge is because the packaging recommends it :) Thanks for the replies, I'm feeling more awake and alert for the first time in a stupidly long time, and…

Not only this, but I remember reading that you take them for two weeks, and then they boost your metabolism. If you want to boost your metabolism with immediate effect, any kind of exercise will do, rather than taking a tablet which works in two weeks time (and may not even work...)

I'm very sorry if this sounds condescending, because it's really not my aim, and I happen to have a bit of a blunt way of putting things: I don't know why people don't just Google for more information. Places like MFP and other similar sites are not just used by weight loss enthusiasts, but my marketeers, advertisers, and…

I actually double up my normal bra with a sports bra over the top. Having natural G boobies, there is no way I'm keeping the girls rock steady when working out.

I'm listening to a DJ mix, which is odd for me since I actually hate "This" music, but it's actually really well done and I'm rather enjoying it...

In MY world, if you do the asking, you do the paying. This applies to men and women. I'm sure some will argue that this comes down to an 'owership' or 'entitlement' issue further down the road, "Because he paid for dinner and movie, I feel like I must pay him back in some way, ie: with sex." I say if you can't have a…

Obviously I say that I don't like them now, I'm just giving a reason as to why I don't like to eat them. So I don't think I'm being childish in my reasoning at all. Thanks to everyone else who have been really helpful :)

I ONLY weight once a month anyway, as my scales at home are broken and I see a dietician once a month and she is the only one who weighs me and I trust her scales.

I'm sure some people will comment that you are losing too fast, but I think as long as you are eating well, you're clearly not going into storage mode; good luck to you.

I REALLY want the Colour Run to come to the UK. I would be all over that like flies on a cake! And I don't even run...

I really understand that! This week I've set myself the mini-goal of developing my will power and discipline. Following work out schedules, eating as well as possible. Doing well so far!

Thanks everyone, you've given me some awesome ideas :)

You have a very good point. We moved to this house last year, and we have a green house! We grew our own tomatoes last year, and they were abundant! We had more than we knew what to do with in the end. The greenhouse soil needs refreshing, as it's all hard and dry. Not sure of the best way to refresh it though? I thought…

Veggie mince? I've never even seen it in there! I'll have to look again, I tend to avoid frozen mince from Iceland as it contains mutton which grosses me out, but if they do veggie mince, I'll have a peep! I hear you on the tiredness too. My son is 5 this year, and he still wakes up at 5:30 every day, when kids at his…

I always considered myself to be overweight. Looking back and seeing pictures of myself back then, I can see how wrong I was, and now I suspect I've suffered from poor body image all along. I used to be 145lbs, which was my perfect weight, I was just not very toned, "skinny fat", and thought exercise was lame. I didn't…

I'm actually quitting this gym and getting all my own stuff and putting it in the shed at the bottom of my garden. I've got some hand weights, and a few home exercise workout systems. With the money I will save from my gym membership, I can get my own free weights within 2 months. My gym has gone downhill in the last 8…

Push past. If everyone had a break to let themselves stop hurting, no-one would finish the schedule for months after they started. Its supposed to be hard and its supposed to hurt, because you are changing your body. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it ;)

Swimming. Swimming is zero impact, it supports your body weight and gives your entire body a work out, not only that, but I know when I swim, it gets my heart rate right up and I'm not even a fast swimmer.

I don't usually have breakfast until 10am, or mid-morning some days, I've not noticed either way whether it's made a difference. The only thing I've heard about it is that it may use your stored energy first rather than the food you have before hand?

After extensive research previously, I found that most weight gain while on the pill is caused by salt, and water retention. Reduce salt as much as you can, if possible, make all your own meals so you can control what condiments and seasoning goes into it, and keep up your fluid intake.

Fries and brownies aren't particularly bad foods, there are definitely worse things you could be eating. You can make allowances for them in your day to day diet, or you can make your own and then you will be in control of how much sugar, salt, fat etc is in them. There are loads of recipes for yummy, healthier versions of…

Usually I'm the pervy one. I like to watch the hot guys working out. Mmmmm.

Best advice anyone gave me was only lift as much as makes you uncomfortable by the end of your sets. So say you're doing 3 sets of 10 reps with 15kg, by the time you're at 7/8, you should just be beginning to feel a bit tired in the arms. Then rest for a minute, and start again.

I agree, take the induction. Most gyms offer a free "jump start" program, where they will help set up a program for you to follow to help you to your goals.

When my mum had me, I was born via emergency c-section north to south, so I know exactly of what you speak, the belly bum thing XD She is also in her 50s now and has always had a pooch belly in that area, despite losing lots of weight (she went from an 18 to a size 8, but since gone up to a 12). I can't give you any advice…

I can't speak for any woman other than myself, as we're all different, but in my experience, post baby, yes. My sexual desires changed greatly. It doesn't help that I gained so much weight over the last couple of years, but I can honestly say I've experienced exactly as you described, the abhorrence at being touched,…

I too would recommend circuit training. Unfortunately, I don't really know any off the top of my head that you can do off the cuff, but for something more structured, perhaps something like Insanity or 30 Day Shred would be able to help you out? I personally use Les Mills Body Combat for my cardio and interval training, as…

I had a weird one not so long ago. My friend told me I don't look diabetic any more. I didn't realise that I even looked diabetic (and what does that even mean?), but I'd lost like 10 inches from the waist.
