The only way I have been able to do it is to make it a part of my regular workday morning routine. When I put it off and sleep in late, it makes it soooo much harder to get up the next morning and do it. And if I put it off until after work, I am too tired to do it and just want to relax before bed. So, I "schedule" it the…

I am too tired at night and can't work out after dinner, so I work out early morning at home with DVDs.

I mix equal parts honey, protein powder, and natural peanut, almond, or cashew butter together. I spread it in a glass dish and freeze it. Then I cut it into bars. I put them in baggies and store them in the freezer or the fridge.

I love throwing leftover beef, chicken, pork or seafood into my salad, too.

Rice wine vinegar has got to be the BEST salad dressing ever! And garbanzo beans are delicious in a salad, as are any other bean... Finally, I love a bit of cilantro for freshness, though I know some people feel that it tastes like soap.

All I have read and heard states that you should eat enough so that your net calories remain at your goal. My goal is typically 1200 net calories per day. So if I burn 400 calories in my workout, I would actually eat 1600 calories that day for a net of 1600 - 400 = 1200.

You would enjoy the book Mearle's Door. Great healthy, happy dog biography!!

BodyBugg is an arm strap HRM that can be worn all day. You can also use "trip" settings to determine calories burned during exercise. It is not inexpensive but it said to be accurate.

If you haven't tried adding a half a frozen banana, do it! Makes it nice and creamy!

I also love sushi, but I just go for the sashimi. I sometimes crave some rice, but usually the fish is what I really really want! I might have to try the cauliflower rice for other dishes, however!

Will also dig out my ice cream maker! This will help with my sweet tooth for sure!

I always throw half of a frozen banana into my protein shake. Makes it like a milk shake! And my freezer has a shelf of frozen bananas and fruit just for my shakes!

Someone made some sugar free ones for a bbq I attended yesterday. They were quite delicious. i_love_vinegar, why are you against Stevia? Do you feel that way about all sugar substitutes?

I tried the second recipe I found, the one that called for light maple syrup. I made it with chocolate protein powder instead of cocoa powder. It just didn't have the right texture, and the vague maple syrup flavor didn't taste right to me. Will try the original recipe with granulated sugar substitute, half cocoa powder…

I like a mixed greens salad with cucumber, carrot, tomato, queso fresco (fresh lowfat cheese), kalamata olives, and a lean protein such as grilled chicken sausage, steak, or chicken. Add a bit of balsamic vinegar, herbs, and olive oil... Yum! Depending on your protein serving and the amount of cheese, this hovers around…

I also love peanut butter. I make my own peanut butter protein bars for dessert treats. It's a sweet treat that isn't chock full of sugar and junk (if you use natural peanut butter). Mix equal parts of peanut butter, honey, and protein powder. Press into a glass pyrex baking pan. Freeze. Cut into small squares. Store in…
