Haven't been on birth control in years. And to answer someone else's comment - no.. not preggers. haha

I should also mention I seriously do like no "official" exercise. It is extremely rare that I ever go "work out". My day is basically work (I'm an elementary art teacher).. and home.

I already have a 4 year old son.

I used to eat a lot of almonds (which I LOVE) ... but found that I got bad heartburn afterwards. Baked pumpkin is pure pumpkin, egg whites, graham cracker, and chocolate chips cooked in the microwave - super yummy. And just a note -- the last 2 days of my diary is highly irregular for me.. although I do eat chocolate often…

If it's a once in a while thing it is no problem. Don't eat if you aren't hungry. Eat more tomorrow.

5'5".... 162 -> 124 I did the 1200 calorie thing for probably about 2 months straight.. and that's when I lost a bulk of the weight.. but I was so unhappy and felt sickly all the time. So I decided to up my calories. First 1300.. then 1400.. then 1500.. and now I'm set at 1600. Working out used to be a big part of my…

I've heard that will help! Not sure why though.. but my body like physically cannot properly do squats. haha Like I lose balance and can't bend that way while keeping my legs at a 90 degree angle and my back straight. When I used to have a trainer we did this everyday and I could never get it right! :/ Guess I have no…

Thank you all for your kind words! :)

Honestly - I track EVERYTHING. I've tracked all my food everyday for 165 days now and still going strong. I hold myself accountable for every choice I make. I don't have "free days" or "cheat days" because I don't see what I'm doing as a diet - I just make reasonable choices everyday that fits into my lifestyle and…

Haha I think the weight was hiding on my butt! I had such a cute butt before.. but now it's near-flat! :/

If it's something that happen regularly... I suggest writing about it. Figure out what lead you to binge eat. Was it just a one time deal? Or if it happens more frequently... maybe you can figure out what pushes you to eat so much more (stress over family, friends, money, self-esteem, etc.) I am a recovering bulimic with…

^ THIS. Ask yourself - is it really worth it? More than 95% of the time I decide it isn't. Also.. I often ask myself who wins if I eat ________. Cause at the end of eating whatever it is.. I have to account for the calories and deal with the repercussions which include a massive amount of guilt.

Yes. Easily. As long as you are within your calories, you already have the built in deficit. I usually won't combine work out if I'm doing 1200 calories because I feel like I don't have the energy most of the time. So whenever I know I want to start working out again.. I up my calories.

As a recover(ed/ing) bulimic.. I would have to say that tracking was the thing that helped me the most. It forced me to make conscious decisions about the amount of food in my mouth because I tracked as I ate. That also forced me to slow down and identify my behavior as what it was (a binge) vs. just being hungry. My only…

My carbs always end up being 55-60%. I've tried to avoid it.. but I can't. haha

If you're hungry -- I say eat! A small snack is usually worth it to me versus feeling like I'm going to pass out or get the shakes! Just be smart about it and stay in your calories! Last night I couldn't sleep because I still felt really hungry.. so I had an apple. This morning I woke up to more weight loss. I try not to…

I completely understand this. At my heaviest I was 171 (when I was pregnant with my son)... then lost the baby weight and went back to 143 (which was my norm).. but then somehow gained back to 162 a couple years later. My original goal was to get back down to 143 .. then 135 when that wasn't good enough.. then 130.. and…

Your body weight naturally fluctuates between 1-5lbs a day. So that difference you are noticing is likely either normal bodily fluctuations.. or the literal amount of weight from the food and water in your system. When I wake up in the morning I typically weigh 127.. but later in the day I'll be 129.5.
-
I hardly ever eat out anymore.. and if I do.. I make sure it's at a place that has published nutritional info so I can make the best decision.
-
It's actually been a lot easier than I expected it to - in fact, day 100 kinda snuck up on me! :) It's just become part of my daily routine now - tracking is just what I do. Obviously some days are better than others eating wise.. but I ALWAYS track everything I eat regardless of how bad it is. I love having all the data…

Agreed.

Interestingly enough though.. I was just looking at my weight loss chart and it was the same month I went under 142lbs that my periods stopped. 142lbs used to be my usual bodyweight.
