Oh I know what you mean! My parents brought some chips, dip and other things over for a game one night and I didn't want to hurt their feelings, so I put a few chips and very little dip on the plate, but I nibbled on it FOREVER so basically everytime they glanced at me I was eating, but not gulping it down- I felt better…

I don't eat my exercise calories. I have tried both ways and have way more success just counting what I eat. As long as I'm losing weight (which is my goal :) then I don't stress over it too bad. Once I reach a plateau, then I'll move to step two. Not sure what that is right now, but my body will tell me! Just listen to…

Whenever I asked my doctor about this, she simply said this "If you are eating 1200 calories and you exercise to make those those calories fall to say 900, then yes, eat back your calories. If you eat 1500 calories and exercise away 300, then do not eat those calories back, as long as you don't fall below 1200" Now that…

for a fact! I don't believe exercise calories are accurate. Just based on my own experience!

My Husband! I love him soooo much and what matters to me matters to him and he's just the best! He never insults me or eats bad things in front of me and ALWAYS tells me I'm pretty no matter how I feel.

Mmm, Subway has become my new love as far as fast food goes! Where else are you going to get a satisfying, fast food that takes a simple sandwich and makes a salad from it! I usually eat at home and try to cook healthy, but fish, chicken and salads get old at home, so when eating out....the choice is usally Subway. I know…

Oh, I'm sitting here wanting to have PIZZA so bad tonight! I've only been doing this for two weeks and I'm just beating myself up over the thought of eating some pizza. I know I can't portion it out right now because I'm too new to the changes I'm trying to make and I know myself well enough that I would binge on it- So,…

I agree, once a week is when I record mine too. It's just too easy for me to get discouraged if the scales go up even an ounce, so for me, weekly recording works out great! Women will always fluctuate in numbers, so weighing daily can have a negative impact! However, having said that, I still like to weigh about mid-week…

One thing (actually a couple) that works for me is brushing my teeth after dinner. I don't know if it's just the thought of being finished eating for the day or if the minty toothpaste has something to do with it, but that helps me most of the time. Another is drinking a small glass of chocolate milk. I count that in my…

Well, after reading what everyone has suggested, I feel better! One thing I failed to mention is that my TOM is every 3 weeks and that really messes me up with water retention and stuff. Not to mention the mood swings, which plays a big part in food consumption! I think I'm going to the Dr to find out if something can be…

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I left this site for a while because I just felt sooo overwhelmed with counting the calories and having to stop to log everything while being in 3 different places at meal time and I just left the site because I felt like I was trying too hard. I wasn't losing weight either!! Ya'll, I'm…

Okay, so maybe I'm not going crazy! Thanks for all the replys...it makes me feel better just knowing that you have been through this, too! I get so cranky and then all of a sudden everything is peachy. I keep everyone on their toes in my house, ahaha! Finally last night my DH asked what was wrong with me. I wanted to show…

I have noticed a drastic change in my mood swings!!! I mean, totally swinging from one extreme to the next- I can't even stand myself and I'm wondering if it's due to the sudden changes I've made this week! (exercise, no soda, eating less, yada yada yada!! Just curious...

My opinion, the HRM is more reliable. I had a pedometer (what I started out with) and it wasn't counting all my steps. I have the Polar F6 and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
