Patience. I go to the gym 5 days a week and I go hard. I get discouraged because my number isn't as low as I want it to be. Just gotta remember there are a lot of variables going in your body, sometimes they don't all wanna synch up at once.

My name is Alex. I'm 22 years old, 5'7" and approximately 163 lbs. I'm trying to get down between 145 and 135 eventually. I box at an amateur level. I'm also a student at WVU studying Civil Engineering.

In West Virginia the cost of living is considerably lower than most states. At $15 an hour under the table 4 hours a week would give me $240 a month, which is a little more than what I spend now on all my fore mentioned expenses. I'm not a big fan of group tutoring just because I feel like students lose out if they're less…

Go to the dollar store before the movie and get a single serving candy bar or something that you want. If you don't treat yourself once in a while you're going to binge eventually. Just keep it in moderation, and make sure you're consuming the serving size. This is my philosophy, and experience.

I do this about 4 times a week but I do 2- 2 minute sets (without the rests in between). You will want to puke after your first time doing it, but after a while you'll learn to love it. Seriously, its one of my favorite workouts to do now.

Throwing punches with or without a heavy bag is a great way to work all your muscles a burn fat. Just make sure you have proper form when you're doing it. You can find that on youtube.

I would recommend purchasing a decent pair of running shoes after you get a gait analysis. Its likely you're current shoes are not adequately absorbing the shock from your foot hitting the ground, therefore you are getting swelling in your knees, something which running bare foot may only aggravate. New Balance makes great…

How did you injure it? Depending on where your pain is certain exercises will aggravate your knee.

Make sure you're really stretching your glutes well before you run. I was having a similar sort of pain when I did footwork exercises for boxing. These stretches felt incredible, and I haven't really had that problem since. http://www.fitness-training-at-home.com/glute-stretches.html

It looks AWESOME! But, I think I'll do the same thing I did with P90X and download it on torrents.

I'm in as well. I live in my own apartment but I'm an engineering student so the stress of school work has kept me from the gym before.

Do some abdominal and lower back strengthening exercises. That helped me lose a considerable amount of inches in that area. Also keep your stress levels in check. Stress causes fat to form in the belly area to protect your vital and reproductive organs. Keep doing what you're doing and be patient, it'll go when your body…

Add me if you'd like. I'm 22, looking to decrease fat and increase muscle. I box 3-4 days a week and lift at least one day a week.

Agreed. But don't forget about your cardio. Plyometrics are a good type exercise to combine with weight training.

Stay on your toes. Keep working on getting lower and lower. Make sure you keep your butt down. You'll get there sooner or later. Good luck.

I have really bad anxiety. I'm prescribed Xanax but I only take it when I'm hyperventilating and can't breathe (which happens once every few months now). I don't really know what changed with my anxiety. I work out more, I do group activities. I still get anxious in large crowds, like going to Walmart on a Sunday FORGET…

That would be why I have a DROID. And if that stops working.... I am an EXCEL MASTER!

I box. I always look forward to it. Some times I'm really tired and I don't feel like going but then I think about how much fun I have when I go and even though its challenging, tiring, and I am usually sore for a day or two after I feel good. It makes me happy. Maybe you should try an group class or something new and fun…

I'm away at school right now so I cook for my roommates a lot. They really like my lemon pepper chicken. They also enjoy my meatloaf and pork chops/chicken breasts stuffed with feta cheese, tomato, and spinach.

Leave your goal weight. Have more cardio than strength training. In the years you haven't been training intensively you probably have lost some muscle mass. You'll get great results with plyometrics, they get your heart rate going and get every muscle in your body feeling the work you're putting in. Good luck.

Marinades are kind of tricky for me as well. I have a hard time knowing how much to enter in and what not.. If you have the time and measure your ingredients you can take the total volume of the marinade before you soak the meat in it, and subtract the volume you have left after you soak it. The number you get would then…

I should also probably have mentioned I am the inverse of girly. In most respects.

I love pizza! (as most college students do). It's nearly impossible to get a good pizza in West Virginia though, they just don't know how to do it.

1. My calorie intake is reduced for weight loss, so eating back my exercise calories is almost required so I don't make myself sick. If I'm plus or minus 200 calories from my goal, I take it as a good day. 2. I've lost 10 pounds so far. Lots of boxing. Little carbs.

I make a spinach salad with blue berries, strawberries, fried peaches, and cherries like you would not believe. You can throw some almonds in there for protein and then you're in business. I also top it with my homemade blueberry vinaigrette.
