  • Squeeze it in when you can. It's tough with an infant in the house!! I didn't start really working out seriously again until my daughter was about a year old. Once she was sleeping through the night (allowing me to do the same!) I was able to get up an hour earlier in the morning and get my workout in. It doesn't always…

  • I agree that it's not that great of a calorie burn. But it is a lot of fun, and if you're not going to go to the gym it's definitely better than sitting home watching tv. Plus, you can get your kids, spouse, friends into it with you because it's a lot of fun to play.
  • I intended to swim this morning. I always forget something in my bag- my hairbrush, my goggles, my towel, something! This morning it was.... my suit! The Y frowns on skinny dipping, so it looks like I'll have to get my laps (and challenge) in tomorrow!
  • I'm in. I need some kind of accountability to get me through the holiday season.
  • 3:00 on the 200 free for me. I'm not even close to attempting the fly set. I occasionally try to fly, but I look like I'm drowning! :)
  • I would love to play soccer again. But the leagues are almost an hour drive away, I have young kids at home and can't spend that much time away from them.
  • Just started level 2 today. I feel it a lot more in my legs than my abs. Definitely more cardio, but I'm not sure how much more ab work. We"ll see after 3 weeks, right?
  • Your goggles could just be worn out from the chlorine. I tend to go through a pair every 9 months or so- I try to rinse them off really well after I swim but there's no help for the damage chlorine does to everything. And it sounds like you've been swimming a lot so that may have sped up the process. Either way I'd take…
  • I started this workout last night and found someone who is worse at math than I am! I went in thinking it was a 3,000, but as I started adding as I was swimming I realized it was more than that. I didn't make it all the way through, but I did get 2,900 in. I HATE butterfly. I have terrible form, I can barely do 25 without…
  • I've tried this... but didn't get the best results. I hated it. My husband thought it tasted like pizza toppings on a hash brown. But the kids... they didn't even notice anything was different. It was definitely a good way to sneak healthy vegetables into their diet! I'd love to hear what other people thought of it.
  • Given the shape you're already in- I doubt you'll be too tired to add it to your normal routine. The point about the calories is what I'd take out of this. When I was doing P90X I wasn't on this site yet and wasn't doing a cut. I had no problem with the workouts. Now that I'm restricting calories, the lifting workouts are…

  • I'm in. I'm currently on week 3 of Jillian Michael's 6 week 6 pack- after that I'd love to get ideas from others on routines or programs to try. Great challenge idea!
  • I am on my second week... but my computer screen died and had to go into the shop (and with it my copy of 6w6p!) Hopefully I'll get it back soon so I can continue. I've been trying to remember all the moves, but I don't think I'm getting it. Sigh. I am really into this program this time too!
  • I'm joining in! I only get to swim about once a week, but I love the escape. I average around 2,000- 2,500 in an hour, and I love the workouts you've posted so far. Thanks for running a swimming thread!
  • I want to do it too. I started it and did a week before I got bored. I'll try it again- when are we starting?? Also, how often are you supposed to do it? I can't imagine that you're supposed to do it every single day- aren't you supposed to give your muscles a day's break in between workouts of the same muscle group?
  • I used the weight workouts 2-3 times a week and mixed in other cardio for the summer. I'm going to tackle Insanity next- but not until it snows here and I can't be outside.
  • Big Girl- 6525 Hey Ya- 8944 Rasputin - 7521
  • I fell short- but I loved the challenge. I knew I would have to walk a lot in between running days, and it didn't happen. Even still- I kicked butt at my 5k today. Remember, it's not you finish time that matters. It's beating that skinny ***** across the finish line :)
  • I use mapmyrun.com. You can either use the app that tracks you with GPS, or log onto your computer and actually trace the roads you ran on.
  • "List of Demands" by Saul Williams- it was a Nike commercial and really gets me going!
  • Since you've already got your cardio covered with Insanity, I'd go with P90X for the strength training. Turbofire will seem too easy after Insanity!
  • I'm up to 25 miles... which means I'm not going to make 100 at this pace!! Time to pick it up!
  • We were lucky and were given a hand me down- It's either Baby Jogger or Baby Trend... it's pretty worn but I love it. The thing is HEAVY but I'm getting an extra workout, right? I agree about keeping the tires inflated- that makes a huge difference!
  • I didn't post last week because I stink. But I guess I have to post my scores this week to stay in the challenge! Wake Me Up - 10399 Katti Kalandal - 8024 Take Me Out - 10819
  • There is a weightlifting option under cardio. I input mine in there instead of under strength training.
  • Ran in the rain yesterday (love that!) and walked 2 miles on lunch today. The miles are adding up... but I need to increase my pace if I'm going to reach 100 by month's end!
  • There are several different versions available for download sites like btjunkie and thepiratebay.org. I downloaded one of the workouts several months ago and got a kick out of what they were wearing! Definitely old school!
  • I'm in. I only run 3-4 days a week so I can rest my knees, but I'll walk on the off days to keep my miles up!
