Well since I posted this I've lost an additional 6lb and I am amazed! I'm close to breaking into the 160's and I've not been there or a long time!
-
That's fantastic! Well done and I hope you achieve many more great things in 2013!

Has 8 cats haha

Haha, thank you! I can't do any spins/jumps yet, but I'll get there, I'm sure :)

Aged about 15, being followed down a corridor by this one kid who would say "wibble wobble, wibble wobble, jelly on a plate" Every. Time. He. Saw. Me. Not cool. Having "fat b!@ch" shouted at me from cars a few times has stung a bit too. Need to lose weight so that when my friend's son learns to talk HE doesn't start with…

Well, there have been a few. The biggest was realizing i'd rather take a photo than be in it. All through secondary school (age 11-16) I was bullied horribly. Suicidal at various points. I got myself through that but unfortunately I turned to junk food to do it. I'm now 22, 5 foot 2 and, at my heaviest was 185lbs. That…

I get this. It's lovely, in one way, because my friends, and boyfriend, are accepting of who I am, but in another way, I kinda feel that believing them is what got me into this mess. I normally explain that whilst they're being lovely, I am not happy in my own skin and have decided to make some changes. They usually accept…

I felt the same way at school. Now, I go to the gym 4 times a week and love it! I can set my own goals I can do what I like, and avoid what I don't like I can go swimming when I feel like a change We did have a small weights room at my school. I got to use it ONCE in the 5 years I was there. Now I REALLY enjoy lifting…

As in running tights? Yeah, I wear them to the gym. I'm a UK size 16, and at 5 foot 2, carry most of my weight round my middle, so stomach, thighs and behind are rather large right now. Can't say I've noticed anyone staring, although the other girls that wear them are skinny as rails. They do make the bottom of my legs…

I so get it. I'm currently looking for a job, and I don't even apply to a lot of clothing shops because they are all filled with skinny mini staff members, and I've had information from one inside source that a certain department store won't place you on one of its counters if your weight isn't in proportion to your height…

Sorry I forgot to update yesterday - I lost a pound, again. This time it's staying off! And more are joining it, obviously :)
-
It's my weigh in tomorrow. I'm a little nervous after gaining a pound last week. Well done to those losing so far!
-
I've given up fizzy drinks in the hope it'll help with the weight loss. It's day one, and let's just say I am slightly cranky, although I've just eaten an apple which has helped a) with the hunger I was feeling and b) it's got rid of the craving for something sweet. Must not cave in to fizzy-ness!
-
I gained a pound :( However, I'm really upping the exercise this week, so hopefully it and maybe a few of its friends will vacate the premises by next Monday.

I just watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGaotnDSuqA Now all I want to do is: RUN! I'm off to the gym today, and Wednesday - come Friday, I'm heading out onto the track. I have a friend who ran a 10k in 57 minutes, only the 2nd 10k he's ever done. My goal is smaller, I'd like to run a 5k next year for Cancer…
-
OK, well I've taken the first step - I've sent the track a message through Facebook of all things, just to check if there's anything I need to know about, like do I need to book in advance type things. I'm in the UK, if anything, I should be running to keep warm! I'll look at c25k, and if all goes to plan, I should do my…

To all those who are taking on this challenge - well done! I always find it easier to work out and log with support, so together, we should hit our goals :) Feel free to add me if you want :)

OK, another UK lady who's definitely up for this! I weighed in yesterday at 181lbs. I go on holiday to Prague on September 7th, and have a wedding to attend on September 1st. So, for all of those, I'd like to be... hmm, let me think. I've got 6 weeks roughly, and MFP says if I keep my current eating and exercise habits,…
-
Nice post  I've not lost enough to get comments yet, but a few people who I've told about MFP don't seem to get it. Come on people, it's only like writing down everything you eat, drink and any exercise you do, it's not that hard to comprehend, surely?
-
I'd like to lose maybe 10lbs before I go on holiday on September 7th. And I'm going to a friend's wedding on the 1st September so would like to feel confident enough to wear a dress to that. I did aim for 10lbs off by graduation (13th July) but it didn't happen. I'm taking it a day at a time though, and although I would've…

I've had comments shouted at me from cars when I was simply standing waiting for a bus, so it killed any desire I ever had to work out outside. I LOVE my gym though - really supportive people, and lots of different body shapes. I do look at people in the gym, but this is what usually goes through my head: "Wow, I like her…

meshashesha20, he recommended it as a way to build up my chest as I train alone and it's obviously easier to ditch a set of DB's than it is a bar! It's cool though, if I get the form down, I won't hurt myself when it comes time to bench the bar, hopefully! And yeah, between this and starting to be able to see and feel my…
