I really want to wear tights but I need to wear a long enough tshirt to cover my saggy belly. Having 5 kids my belly is so destroyed.
I put tights on today and I look so funny, my legs look so small compared to my huge belly, it makes me look 8 months pregnant.
I currently wear my 3/4 jeans they aren't tight so it's perfect to hide the size difference between my legs and belly. My legs look huge in them though.

I hated it when mom made me wear them as a kid. I haven't worn tights since I was about 12.

    As in running tights?

Yeah, I wear them to the gym. I'm a UK size 16, and at 5 foot 2, carry most of my weight round my middle, so stomach, thighs and behind are rather large right now.

Can't say I've noticed anyone staring, although the other girls that wear them are skinny as rails.

They do make the bottom of my legs look thin though

I think I look a lot bigger when I wear tights.

I feel really uncomfortable with other people seeing me in tights. If i'm going to be running I will usually where a pair under a pair of mens basketball shorts. I don't have to face the horror of the unflattering things they do to me!

I think you look thinner in your tights but in the end, wear whatever makes you comfortable. If you aren't comfortable than you might have a hard time finding the motivation to head to the gym. IMO. :)
