  • W4D1 Cardio Challenge - Increased my max out time by almost 2 minutes. Felt good until the last ten minutes of the workout, got a bad side cramp and had to modify most of it. Looking forward to finishing up month 1!
  • W3D5 Friday Fight R1 is done, and week three is finished! Increased my max out time by two minutes today, even running on little sleep (my son was up all night with an upset stomach). Glad I still got up and pushed play. Hope everyone is hanging in there!
  • W3D4 Tabata Strength done. Improved my max out time by just a small amount. Those diamond jump burpees are killer!
  • Oh wow, sorry to hear that! I hope you feel better soon!
  • Was wondering where you were yesterday, glad you are still here! Interested to hear what you think about Tabata Strength, it's pretty different from Tabata Power.
  • Well, W3D2 Tabata Strength is done. Forgot that this was a different workout from the previous two weeks, and was totally thrown off by the diamond jumps. My max out time almost three minutes under what it was for Tabata Power. Ugh.
  • Well, when I use MFP settings (including my activity level), it gives me 1480 calories. When I use the TDEE method, it gives me 1823 calories. I've been using TDEE and losing weight each week, so.... point proven.
  • Does the pool that your at have a big clock on the deck? If so, you can do sprint intervals. You could really do them however you want - Sixty 50's on the minute, Ten 100's on the 2 minutes, etc. It will make you push yourself to give yourself the longest rest possible before you have to go again. You could also add do…
  • Incorrect. MFP set with activity level is nowhere near as accurate as TDEE.
  • Week 3 Cardio Challenge is done! Increased my max out time by 45 seconds. Feeling a lot stronger today than I was last week!
  • If you are using the TDEE method, you don't follow what MFP gives you. Go into your setting and change your calories to match what your TDEE -15 or 20% is. That's the number you should be eating.
  • Awesome! I just finished up week 2 of Friday Fight today, increased my max out time by 20 seconds. I'm maxing out in the upper 8 minutes, I'll be shocked if I can get to 12 at some point!
  • Thanks!! Finished week 2 of Friday fight. Today was my official weigh in day. Lost .6 pounds this week. But, two days ago I was over a pound lighter, so I gained something somewhere in those two days. So frustrating, of course weigh in day would be the day that the scale shows heavier lol! Increased my max out time by…
  • ^^This. I also use that website to calculate my calories. Follow that and you won't have to worry about eating back your excercise calories.
  • If you are looking at Beachbody programs, PIYO is one that is easy on the joints. Not nearly as intense as Insanity though.
  • Yes. Pushing through soreness is fine. I find that days 3 and 4 of a new program are the worst for me, but by day 5 most of the soreness is gone.
  • W2D3 Sweat Intervals done. Increased my max out time by about 20 seconds. This one is really hard for me. Finding myself a little less happy about doing these videos this week, but I'm notorious for quitting programs on week three, so I know this is just my mind trying to get me to give up. Gonna keep pushing play!
  • I prep for all meals and snacks for Monday through Friday on Sunday evening. I haven't run into protein going bad on me. I like to have everything ready, take it all in on Monday and then not have to worry about it for the rest of the week.
  • I prefer T25 to the 30 Day Shred, but be aware that Fridays are double days with T25 (so it's 50 minutes instead of 25). You could break that up and do one on Friday and one on Saturday though if you wanted to.
  • If you decide to do a set program (such as T25), I suggest looking for people who are starting around the same time as you are, or finding a group that's doing it on here. I love seeing my friends doing the same workouts as me, and I like the accountability that a group provides. I agree with the person above though,…
  • I prefer to use this calculator for TDEE, I find it to be less confusing http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/#top
  • Here's the link for the post I was referring to. There is a group called Eat More to Weigh Less on here that has all of this information in it. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/512956/tdee-what-is-it-and-why-you-should-not-eat-below-your-bmr/p1
  • I've always heard not to eat below your BMR. When I was in the situation where TDEE was under my BMR, I was told to eat at least 100 calories more than my BMR. There's a post somewhere on the message boards that explains it, it used to be a sticky but I think they renamed them to "announcements".
  • I suggest getting a heart rate monitor with the strap. I have the Polar FT4.
  • I did a round of Insanity a few years ago, I also followed the meal plan. I was eating A LOT of food. I did not lose much weight at all (a few pounds), but my body totally changed. My blood pressure and resting heart rate also went down. For me, it was hard to stick with because the videos are so long, which I why I never…

  • I know you already ordered your program, but I just wanted to throw this out there. I think it depends on what motivates you the best as to what program is better. T25 is shorter than Insanity (except for Fridays which are doulbe up days on T25) and less hardcore. I completed Insanity and then tried T25. I gave up at week…
  • For me. It would never stick if I tried to do it for anyone else but me.
  • While I'm positive some of it could be because of the lost weight, some of being treated differently could also be because you could be projecting yourself differently now. When people lose weight and take care of themselves, they gain self confidence and seem to be a bit more outgoing, friendly, etc. People could be…
  • I just finished week one of Max30. Feel free to add me :)
  • Friday Fight, OMG! Maxed out at 8:23. This workout was exhausting! I'm traveling this weekend so I won't be doing pulse. Looking forward to having two days off as well!
