  • Looking for more positive friends too! FR sent!
  • You had me at soul-eating ginger. And pizza. And Sci-Fi/Fantasy books. I'm looking for more friends to motivate me when I'm lazy (so, almost always), and I share your affinity for geeky things. I'm more into fantasy books (Harry Potter, LOTR, Game of Thrones), but I like Sci-Fi movies. FR sent! I'm open to more friends, so…
  • Final Halloween weight: 142.6 lbs. Have a safe and happy Halloween, all!
  • Challenge start weight: 145 lbs. Current weight: 142.8 lbs. This week: Been sick all week, so I've been eating lots of hot tea, soup and crackers. Finally feeling better! Woooo! Next week: Get my yoga on. Definitely not going to hit my goal of 7 lbs, but I'm trying to at least get another pound off! :)
  • Challenge start weight: 145 lbs. Current weight: 143.8 lbs. (!!!) Went well: I've been under my calorie goal most days for the last two weeks, so I really don't know what's up w/my weight. I indulge over the weekend, but I don't go totally nuts... Next week: Staying under my calorie goal and keeping my weekends more in…
  • Hey all! Sorry, I flaked on logging in last week, I've been a sick & it was my 1st wedding anniversary so I was busy spending time w/the hubs in celebration. Not a good excuse, I know-- sorry! Challenge starting weight: 145 lbs. Week 4 current weight: 143.2 lbs. One things that went well: I've been under my calorie goal 4…
  • Challenge Starting Weight: 145 lbs. Current Weight: 143.2 lbs. One thing that went well this week: Although I had a bad weekend eating-wise, I stuck to my calorie goal the rest of the week. One reason that I want to lose weight: It makes me feel so much more confident and comfortable in literally every aspect of my life…
  • Challenge Starting weight: 145 lbs. Current Weight: 144.2 lbs. Thing that went well: I had several opportunities to eat fast food, which I avoided almost every time. (Overall, not a great week, to be honest.) Thing that I will do next week: Plan out ALL of my snacks; I usually have a snack in the evening that puts me over…
  • Hey Leila and MFPeeps! I'm excited to do my first challenge and I'm hoping that it will encourage me to stay on track and work out more. I have trouble sticking with a plan if I don't have a goal. You know how it is. ;) 1. Jessica 2. Illinois, US 3. 165 lbs. 4. 144.6 lbs. 5. 125 lbs. 6. Cardio intervals on my stepper and…
  • I'm starting my first one tomorrow! If you set one up, let me know... Although, I don't know if I want to do more than one at a time. I was thinking of starting one after this one is finished in four weeks, but I don't know if I can get enough people to play... Good luck!!
  • The thing that helps me the most is not having unhealthy food available-- I if I have sweets in my house, I WILL eat them! Instead, I stock up on fruits and veggies. And the first couple of days are always the hardest, but after that, especially if I work out, I'm much more likely to stick to eating well. Hope that helps!…
  • I feel your pain! I was diagnosed w/Crohn's Disease when I was halfway through law school, less than 6 years ago. I had to take several terms off and was hospitalized a couple of times and my grades suffered, but I graduated. I've been on Humira for a couple of years now, and it seems to be working. I haven't had a real…
  • I love YM! The chaturanga pushups kick my butt, but I really love the sun salutations. And the two girls are amazeballs, especially Basheera.
  • I was at 161.5 this Tuesday and am hoping that I'm down at least 1 at my next weigh-in on Monday. Just started on MFP 3 weeks ago and I've lost 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks, which included bingeing over the 4th of July holiday! :) I know I'm a bit over 155 but I've also been looking for a couple more friends and would love to have…
  • So... I had a day-long headache yesterday which really screwed up my schedule. I've done Week 3, Days 1 & 2, but now I don't really have time to do Day 3. I take the bar exam next Tues/Wednesday (and have to travel all day Monday and Thursday) and, although I am definitely not quitting, I'm going to have to delay finishing…
  • I'm really bad about this also. I've found it helpful to PLAN my snacks for the evening instead of saying "okay, I'm not going to eat anything after dinner," b/c that never works. And as long as you're under your calorie goal, I really don't think it matters when you consume your cals. I've read several studies lately that…
  • Hey fellow Crohnies! I'm glad that I found this thread-- I was wondering if there were other Crohnies/IBD sufferers on MFP. Glad to know that I'm not alone! My name is Jessica and I'm 29, diagnosed 4 years ago (during my second year of law school, which was fantastic, let me tell you) and as of this minute I've been off of…
  • Yeah, pretty sure for a women anything under around 20% is underweight, unless she's an bodybuilder, etc. I do agree that it would be best to use body fat to figure out what my goal or "happy" weight is, but idk of a way to do that until I am actually there... :)
  • Thanks ladies! :) I think I'll keep it set at 120 (the min. for my height) and then reevaluate once I've plateaued. I'm guessing that it'll be around 135ish. If realize that I could lose after I plateau, but anything less might not be maintainable. :)
  • Thank you for sharing these fantastic pics! Congrats on all of your hard work-- you look amazing! :) ...And btw, cute shoes!
  • Hello and welcome! I've only been on MFP for a couple of weeks, but I absolutely love it! Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me! :)

  • Just finished Week 2! I really didn't want to do it (or ANYTHING really) today but I'm really glad that I did, b/c I ended up pushing myself harder than usual. And then I danced around a bit to burn a few more cals! :) ...Really worn out now though. Whew! LOL
  • I did Week 2, Day 1 today! I almost forgot about this thread since I didn't do ANY workouts last week. (I was house/dog sitting for my mom, who doesn't have any equipment, and it was too hot to run outside. I know, I know, excuses, excuses! lol) Needless to say, I thought that today would be really hard after an entire…
  • Hi! Hope I'm not to late to join! I started the C25k on 6/28 and have now completed Week 1. :) I feel pretty good considering that I went from doing NOTHING to working out 3X this week, but I am not a terrible runner so I'm sort of dreading next week. Also, I've been using an elliptical and I've gathered from other…
  • Not disagreeing with Kirsty_UK at all, but I found it helpful to use the Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator (under the Tools tab). It can help you calculate what your BMI is now and it tells you what the healthy BMI range is. You can easily calculate your healthy weight range by plugging in lower or higher numbers. That's…
  • Hey all of you Couch to 5kers, I just started the program this week (Days 1 and 2 down, 1 to go), but I've been using an elliptical (but still doing the intervals). I'm wondering if anyone else repeated Week 1 or 2... I'm going from doing literally almost NOTHING to doing a bit of yoga and the C25k cardio, so I feel like I…
