Current weight--262.4 Starting weight--264.0 -1.6 lb. Not too shabby!

I don't bank all of them, but I try to bank some. When I would bank ALL of them, I stopped losing. When I eat all of them, I stop losing. I try not to let my 'net calories' fall under 1200, so I eat the ones that put me under. And sometimes I go over my daily calories by 50 or so, so then I *have* to count my exercise (or…

I had a miscarriage when I was 15 weeks pregnant. One of the nurses at my OB's office told me that fat girls have a higher chance of miscarriage. I don't like feeling responsible for what happened, so I am determined to lose all of this extra weight before we start trying again.

When you started this, what kind of activity were you doing? Bike riding 30 minutes/day What was your body type like? I'm 5'2 and 262 pounds. Shoes? nothing too overly expensive yet... just a sturdy starter? I got my sneakers for $10 from Wal-Mart and they're working fine for now. best time of day???? I prefer the early…

Wow, I just had a "no wonder I'm fat" moments...A slice of thin crust pepperoni pizza with extra cheese is 390 cals! And then those little chocolate cake things are 350 each...I used to be able to eat half a medium pizza and both little chocolate cakes. Yikes!!!

That's awesome! We're going to a Burrito place for dinner with my brother and his wife and I can't find nutritional info ANYWHERE on it...their website doesn't show any nutritional facts and MFP doesn't have it in the database. I think I'll be begging to go somewhere else so I can at least know how much exercise I need to…

I tried it with a HRM last night--MFP said for 'circuit training' for 20 minutes I'd burn over 350 calories. I monitored it with my HRM and I burned right over 300 for the intervals, not counting the warm up and cool down.

I LOVE it! It took me awhile to get to where I was able to complete a level (I was really out of shape) but you can feel the burn and see the difference. It helped me break my small weight loss plateau--after gaining and losing the same 2-3 pounds for the last few weeks, my scale is in uncharted territory today--a loss of…

I don't have the exact same problem, but I do notice that some of what I lose comes back and it's a "two steps forward, one step back" thing. In the past, I saw an endocrinologist as well as my gynecologist and he said that PCOS can cause off insulin levels (insulin resistance?) which can add to the cycle of obesity…

LOL, mine too!

I was bummed that they sent Allie home and kept Tina, Allie seemed like she really needed the support and she was SO CLOSE to grabbing that last flag in the challenge! I felt really bad for her, especially since Tina didn't seem like she really wanted to be there.

I weigh every day, but I only count it on here twice a week. :)

I love swimming! I used to really be into water aerobics, but I just don't have time for it now (and I'm not sure if my HRM can get wet, and I think that MFP greatly overestimates the calories burned while swimming!).

I understand where you're coming from. Monday I worked out twice as long and as hard as I usually do and when I came in from my last burst of exercise I went to grab a handful of cookies, then I stopped and looked at the package and saw that 3 cookies were 170 calories. I put all but one back and added it to my diary,…

It's probably water retention! I stepped on the scale Monday and I was shocked that I had gained almost 3 pounds over the weekend--especially since I worked really hard to stay within my calories and exercise!--and today the water weight is gone and I'm down over a pound and a half on top of the 3 that I lost from Monday's…

Lots of water. I recently discovered the little single serving sugar free Kool Aid packets that you can mix in water bottles, so if I am just plain bored with water I'll mix one of those and add a packet or two of Truvia to sweeten it up to my liking.

You and me both!
-
Maybe I should invest in glasses. LOL. I am having a very off day, please excuse me.

Louisiana is #6. I honestly thought we'd be higher.
-
Sure, I'd like to! I started C25K yesterday and I try to walk at least 30 minutes per day.

Taco salad: Ground beef: 4 oz - 140 cal Lettuce: 1 cup - 8 cal Cheese: Cheddar: 1/4 cup - 110 cal Tomatoes: 1 - 8 cal Taco seasoning: 1 packet - 100 calories

Awesome! It's a great feeling to push past a plateau!!
-
I'd get the Country Club Salad with chicken.
-
I'm doing it too! I tried it earlier this month but fell off track, this time I am serious!
-
I'm not a morning person either, and I do 99% of my exercise between 5-9 pm. I think as long as it works well for you, go with it!

Losing weight is HARD. No question about it! You can do it, though. Baby steps!! I have a hard time saying goodbye to Soda, so I started replacing one soda per day with water or sugar free kool aid. Now that it's under control there, I'm trying to replace another one every day, and once I get that under control, I'll…

Awesome, I'm in! I am generally going about 8 miles per week in a mixture of biking and walking. I'm hoping to triple that!
-
Can you maybe also try a DVD or something to help out? If you're doing all of that walking every day, your body is probably used to it and it won't make a huge difference.

Welcome Debbie! You've come to the right place. Work at building up your strength and energy--try water aerobics, they're amazing. Even if you can only manage 20 minutes the first time, keep at it until you can manage a whole class. It's a great way to burn calories and it's very low impact and non-painful.

I personally weigh myself every day. And I try not to get down when the numbers don't cooperate with my preconcieved notion of what they should be. I 'officially' record my weight twice a week, but I do step on the scale every day. Sometimes twice a day. The key is not to give up instantly when you see evil numbers looking…
