There are many reasons why the scale may not move but progress is still being made--water retention, etc. As long as you are losing inches, you are still doing well. Just keep at it and look at long-term results, not daily results. There are some weeks where I lose nothing, and others where I lose 5 pounds, all while doing…

I am an only child (3 step-siblings and 1 half sibling that I never lived with) and I really want a big family so my children aren't lonely. I currently have 3 and am working on concieving #4. My mom was one of 5, and hated siblings so wanted me to be an only...so I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.…

I'm in!

Mine was 200....then 250....then 275. I now consider every pound lost as one I don't want to see again.

Go for a walk/jog, check youtube for exercise videos, jog in place or laps around your living room, do jumping jacks/crunches/push ups/etc., do you have a bike you can ride?, put on the radio and dance to music for 30 minutes or so. There's plenty of things you can do without a gym/dvds!

Breastfeeding doesn't burn 800 calories a day, it's more like between 300-500, depending on frequency. I would definitely eat those back, or you may see a drop in supply. I wouldn't eat my exercise calories back.

I haven't seen the cheesecake bites...but cheesecake is my weakness, so I'm going to look for them when I go shopping this weekend. 20 cals a piece is really good--I usually only need a small taste to get the craving to disappear.

TOM came yesterday for me, and I feel the same way--even though I lost 2 pounds, I still feel fatter and more blah than usual. Just have to keep in mind that it's temporary and our hormones are sending us nasty little whispers of inadequacy.

Way to go!!! I have found that there is a certain calorie range I need to be in to lose weight---1400-1700. Any less, I don't lose weight, any more, I don't lose weight. I can exercise a lot or a little, but unless I consume in that range, nothing happens at all.

I weighed-in this morning...down 2 pounds! Unfortunately, I'm still working off my post-miscarriage binges and the few pounds I had gained while pregnant....it brings me to 10 pounds lost, and at one point I had been up to 25 pounds lost. Still, it's TOM and I have cheated a bit over the last week, so I'll take my 2 pounds…

I am so, so sorry about your Mom. I wish there was something I could do to help you through this hard time.

I've never missed a period, but since dieting my periods have gone from 28-days-like-clockwork to a random mixture of days between 23-33 days....it's infuriating....but it could be due to weight loss/calorie intake/exercise or a mixture of the three.

Me too!!!

I log it under circuit training.

How frustrating!!! I have a big mouth, and I would have told her something nasty that I would have regretted later. You show her!!!

I have no idea what my favorite body part is. I don't think I have one. I don't like anything about myself. Maybe my hair, when it cooperates. Friday night we had a date night...tons of walking, and then we went ice skating instead of to a movie. Yikes! I am totally not in well enough shape to ice skate. The last time we…

I am starting it (again!) tomorrow, so we can totally do this together!!

Lots to catch up on this week--it's been crazy here, I haven't had time to do any online catching up. Fitness Friday--hubby and I are going to dinner and a movie tonight for date night, and I've decided we're going to walk. It'll be about 6 miles total, more if we go shopping afterwards, and I'm looking forward to that.…

For a lot of us, if we had a large amount of self-control we wouldn't even need this site because we wouldn't have gotten as large as we have. I'm all for taking responsibility for your own actions, but things aren't always black and white and a lot of times it's 'easier said than done'.

Christina--DDR is so much fun! You can really burn some calories without even realizing you're doing so (which is my favorite way to burn calories, haha). I didn't weigh myself, I'm a bit scared to step on the scale after yesterday's binge eating extravaganza....I honestly didn't do as bad as I *could* have, but I still…

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I have 5 kids--three biologically, one step and and one adotped. I've always been overweight, but I didn't start geting out of control until I was 15. Looking back, I wasn't really fat as a kid, although my Mom told me I was when I was around 9. I was muscular, mostly because I was a competitive…

My scale broke a few weeks ago....fancy digital one that measured body fat and stuff---I bought it in October! Anyway, I find life without a scale much more liberating...I'll let my clothes tell me my progress.

According to my doctor, the minimum amount of calories a pregnant woman needs is 1800.

I haven't had computer access for much of February, being out of work for various reasons. I did a lot of walking this weekend, though, in addition to my 30 minutes daily!
-
LOL, that's fantastic! And I love it even more that they're now married.

I had the opposite problem, I was burning consistently more than MFP estimated. I second needing a HRM!

Well, you know us weight-loss twins have to stick together. lol!
-
I'd love to join! I'll go make a ticker right now....my goal is to log in 1250 minutes of walking in February.

I have PCOS and I do find it a bit harder to lose weight--I've never done a low-sugar diet, but I've heard low-sugar/low-carb works really well for people with PCOS--I just don't have that much willpower! Good luck!

I have PCOS and I haven't had this--as a matter of fact, when I follow my exercise routine, it throws my cycle off by a week or so, which is frustrating as well. Maybe whatever hormones are released with exercise is triggering your cycle to start--especially if you don't have regular cycles. Good luck, I hope you can get…
