I think mood swings and hard days should count--I know when I am fed up and trying not to start yelling at people, my heart rate is definitely higher than normal so theoretically I should be burning calories!

I have very, very picky eaters, so we accomodate them more often than not, but a typical week looks like this for us: Monday night: Quesadillas--sometimes we put pepperoni in them, sometimes chicken or strips of steak. I eat just the quesadilla, but the kids usually eat it with rice (with peas and corn mixed in). Tuesday:…

As long as you're making a lifestyle change and educating her on proper ways to eat and care for her body, you aren't harming her. If you were to tell her she was heavy and put her on a strict diet without teaching her, THAT would be harmful. It sounds like you're doing the right thing, good for you!! Edit to add: I have a…

I've lost 25 pounds eating my exercise calories---it's helpful because on days that I work out hard, I get to treat myself to a little extra and it helps to keep me motivated. That, and I'm always starving after a good workout!!

My 7 year old daughter goes to gymnastics for one hour per week, dance classes for 2.5 hours per week, tumbling for 1 hour per week and swimming lessons for 30 minutes per week. She also plays outside a lot and does a lot of indoor tumbling that she gets fussed at quite often about. We're buying her a small training…

I'm about 30 pounds heavier than he is...I can't wait to be under his weight!

It varies a lot person to person. I find that it's within 5-10 calories in comparison to my HRM.

Either snack on healthier things or find something else to do when you feel 'hungry'--usually you're just bored.

I do 'cheat' days, but on those days I still limit myself to only my maintenance calories so there will be no gain, but no loss for the day. I find it much easier to eat healthily at work, so on weekends when we're out and about and we eat out and stuff, I just try to keep it within reason and not overdo it...it is nice to…

Maybe you aren't eating enough--I never lose at 1200 calories, but I lose spectacularly at 1400.

I do well with tapering off. I used to have a Coke with breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime I had a snack. I was easily drinking 5/6 a day! I cut back to only with meals, which was 3/day, and then only meals at work, which is 2/day. I'm still stuck there, although if I'm running short on calories I'll drink water with…

Same here!!

Thanks for your assistance! @allisleft, that does make sense, I don't know why I didn't think to just do that. Having a moment of stupidity, I suppose! @goalseeker, that's definitely true. We have 2 under 3 and I do a lot of chasing around. They are quite exhausting, although totally worth it!

Generally speaking, I estimate a cooked chicken breast to be 4 oz. I have a food scale and I used to meticulously measure out everything, but 99% of the time a chicken breast is 4 oz for me, with the brand I use.

Try them on!! I have a pair of jeans that a week ago I could get on but not zip or button (about an inch-2 inches away) and even though I have lost no weight in the last week, I can not button/zip them (but they're tight), so it's possible they'll fit nicely!

I exercise in the evenings, because mornings are very hectic in our house with kids, school, work, etc. Sometimes I go in the evenings and hubby watches the kids, sometimes I go after everyone goes to bed. I go to Zumba class on the mornings on Saturday, and I find I have a LOT more energy doing the same Zumba class on…

There are only a few things our whole family will eat...one being french bread or tortilla pizzas (because then I can indiviualize toppings) and the other being baked chicken with rice and gravy. I usually make corn and sweet peas for me and hubby, and my daughters will only eat the chicken, and my sons will eat a few…

I've lost 24 pounds and my clothes still fit exactly the same.

I boil and shred a few chicken breasts on the weekends and use them for meals during the week at work--wraps, salads, sandwiches, etc.

Tons and tons of Kegels! After three births, I was the same way (Still am sometimes, haha).

How awesome!!! They'll be doing one near here in March, I'm totally going to sign up!

Well, I don't drink diet sodas, but I drink regular sodas and it hasn't stopped my weight loss at all.

Haha, me too!

I voted for Ada too. Elizabeth annoys me with all of the whining and barely putting forth effort. I wanted to die when Jillian opened her fridge up!! lol. I had just told the husband it would have been hilarious if she had opened the door with a donut in her hand, but seeing all of the junk was almost as amusing. Just…

I've lost 24 pounds since September and I eat everything that I love (aka, what I used to eat), except that I eat it in moderation and I exercise. I know I can't give up soda, potatoes, chocolate, bread, whatever for the rest of my life, so I've taught myself how to control portion sizes and stay within a calorie budget…

Yeah, definitely the 15 oz. That's so sad though!

Thank you! @NV, I know, we're always on par with each other  I can't wait until we're both in the 100s!

Don't tell her your username.

I count most cleaning as light, since I feel awkward counting it at all. I can really work up a sweat picking up toys and whatnot from the kids, since they're little bundles of dectruction and mayhem and leave a path similar to tornadoes in their wake...I don't sweat and increase my heart rate near as much when I'm…

No idea for egg recipes, since I usually scramble or hard boil mine, but do you like peanut butter? That's a good form of protein!
