That was my first thought! First Response has a test you can use six days before you miss your period. :)

Mine's because I'm fat. Lol. It just happened to be the name that came to me when I was registering.

I stopped eating my breakfast to read this...and decided to throw the rest away. Thanks for sharing!!

I don't think it's a shift in 'what's ok' for body images...I think it's someone encouraging you to eat nachos with them or saying "you can't just get a salad, I'll look like a pig!". But I am totally doing something wrong, my best friends are size 4s.

I think we have wheat, so if we do, I'll use that. If not, I know we have regular vermicelli pasta. I find that a cup of pasta is the perfect size for me, especially once I add some meat to it.
-
Thanks! I was thinking '2 oz is 1/4 of a cup, that's not much pasta at all!'

You'll love it! I wear a HRM, but the closest MFP will get to my HRM is under 'ballroom dancing - fast', which makes sense because of some of the styles they incorporate. A close second was 'dancing - aerobic'. I typically burn 12-15 calories per minute while I'm there.

The reason people say to eat your exercise calories is because MFP already builds in a deficit. You're going to lose 2 pounds a week if you have it set to that even if you eat your exercise calories. If you don't, you may or may not lose more. I say may or may not, because there are a lot of things that impact change on a…

I am a mom. I am also a housekeeper, chauffer and short order chef.

I feed a family of seven on $125 per week. I buy bread, eggs, chicken, crackers, apples, bananas, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, milk and yogurt every week, and I put things together in different ways. This week we're having pulled chicken in barbeque sauce for dinner, the rest of the family will have it in sandwich form but…

I personally don't subtract them out unless I've exercised for a long time (30+ minutes) because I do a lot of little things during the day that I don't count--carrying kids around, cleaning, etc. Now I did a Zumba class on Saturday for an hour and a half, so I did subtract calories out from that, since it was an extended…

I usually weigh myself a few times and take the worst reading and use that.

After looking at your diary, I don't think you're eating nearly enough--if you don't eat enough, your body won't release the excess weight and your metabolism will slow down. You should be eating a minimum of 1200 calories per day to keep your metabolism fueled to burn.

Your sugar overage is probably from your fruit, I wouldn't worry about being over in sugar from fruit since it's natural sugars.
-
Well if you cut a little slice off of it at a party or something, it's just like having a little slice of cake. It's ok as long as you aren't eating the whole thing. Honestly, it looked yummy.

I had my first class on Saturday and it was fantastic! I have a dancing background, but even if I didn't it wouldn't have been too terribly hard to pick up, I don't think. Just keep moving and bring a lot of water!
-
Not drinking water can make a HUGE difference--once I started drinking all of the water I was supposed to, I lost 7 pounds of water retention!!

I customize mine. I have mine set to 1475 calories per day (1.7 lb/wk loss) and 45% carbs, 25% Protein, 30% fat. I really only cared about customizing the carbs part, the other two auto-corrected so I just left them as they were.

Hahahahahaha! That just made my day!
-
I don't know if it's true, but I do eat a lot of PB now...I didn't even LIKE it until I started losing weight. So weird!
-
Congrats!!!

A cheat day for me is a day where I eat over my cals and don't exercise enough to compensate. Usually it's only 100 calories or so.
-
On no-nap days, I usually dance with my kids (they're 7, 7, 5, 2, 1)...crank up some music and just dance around the living room for 20 minutes or so at a time. Sometimes I take them on 'nature walks', or do cartwheels in the backyard with them, as well as DVDs or jogging in place after they go to bed. Usually I work out…

Exercise for 50 minutes! -- Done! I power-walked for 20 minutes, rode my bike for 20 minutes and did 10 minutes of calasthenics. I also plan on doing a 35 minute DVD tonight, depending on time constraints--tomorrow is math and spelling tests for my girls and we have a lot of studying to do. 10 glasses of Water -- Done!…

My Mom used to do the Cabbage Soup diet.

Yes, it's listed under jumping rope. Way to go! I tried jumping rope with my daughters a few weeks ago and I was able to do about 20 jumps before I decided I was way too old and out of shape to be doing that sort of thing outside in public!
-
I'll give it a shot! I usually burn 100 calories in 10 minutes when I walk/jog and ride my bike, so this will give me something I can do at home if I don't get a break to exercise until after dark.

NSVs...I used to get winded walking to the mailbox and back. I could ride my bike around the block once and I'd be panting and feeling totally wiped. Now I can ride about 3 miles in 20 minutes and I can walk 2 without feeling run down. I've also lost 21 inches off my body in 6 weeks and can fit into 'normal' sizes at Old…

I have one and I love it. I've had it for about 8 months now, never had any problems.

Hahaha, that's great!!!!
