3500 calories = a pound. You will not gain any real weight if you don't consume an EXTRA 3500 over what you normally eat. So if you normally eat 1200 and you ate around 2000 for two days in a row...guess what? You only over ate 1600 calories which is only a half pound at the most. One answer: I workout on my elliptical because: 1.) It's indoors. 2.) It gives me a good workout in 30 minutes time. 3.) It helps strengthen my leg muscles and it's aerobic (sp.).

My issue is my husband works 16 days and then has 7 days off. Most times he is in a hotel during his two weeks at work. I have trouble finding a routine when he is home. Put one egg or egg whites, whatever meats and veggies you want and/or cheese in a microwavable coffe mug. Scramble with a fork. Put in microwave for 30 seconds. Mix up some more and microwave another 30 seconds. Put on a plate and enjoy.

Portion control with everything is the key. Stick to portions and you will be fine. If you can't portion it, then avoid it. My weaknesses are salt, sugar, and ice cream especially that tom.

If you want it and it fits in your daily calories, eat it. Salt and sugar are my weaknesses but if I don't eat these at all, I am miserable. So I do eat some chips, and cookies in moderation. Portion control is the key for me :)
