  • I am about a week from being done. I also did it last summer. Neither time did I do it all the way through. The first time I took one day off but did ultimately finish all 30 days (in 31 days). This time I have taken about 5 days off total, so all said it will take me 35 days. I think if you do it with rest days or not,…
  • Feel free to add me. I am on a 45 day streak and exercise 5-6 days per week.
  • Hi and feel free to add me. I have struggled with gaining and losing the same 20 pounds over and over again. I know what's it is like and the struggles that are out there.
  • I went to my OB yesterday for my first appointment since I have no idea when my due date would be. And ironically they don't know either. They repeated a pregnancy test there to confirm and it did say I was pregnant, although the nurse said it did take a little while for the line to appear as opposed to my home test where…
  • Yes! Me. Ironically I had just started back at MFP a week ago with a goal to lose 90 pounds (I'd be happy with 80, though). I weighed in a 216 which is close to my 9 months pregnant weight with both of my boys (I weighed 223 with both of them when I went in each time to deliver them). I found out yesterday morning that I'm…
  • Hi everyone. I just got a positive test this morning. It was a complete surprise and shock as I am currently taking birth control pills. But something in my head said I needed to test this morning and the second line showed up immediately....like as fast as the control line. I have no clue as to what my due date is or how…
  • Hi, we have a similar story. I lost 40 pounds on here last summer and went from 215 down to 175, then I stopped exercising and ate too much candy at Halloween which turned into pigging out in general. I've since gained all the weight I lost back. I'm adding you. Hopefully we can motivate each other to let these changes…

  • Hi Jo, I can testify that MFP definitely does work..... as long as you do it. I've successfully lost weight twice on here. My problem has been when I stopped. But, I keep coming back because it does work so well. If you're looking for some supportive friends, feel free to add me.

  • Friend request sent. I'd love more supportive friends (and more people I can support as well).
  • I love chocolate too. In fact, everytime I fall off the wagon and start gaining again it's because of candy. Ugh. The best alternate I have found is to have a chocolatey protein bar (Zone Chocolate Peanut Butter are my favorite).

  • Hi, feel free to add me as well. I'm a 34 year old Mom of 2. My sweet boys are 3 1/2 and 14 months old. I've got about 60 more pounds to go to lose my goal of 90 total.
  • I can't say they help me lose weight, but it's nice getting acknowledgements for weight loss and hard workouts. Plus knowing that I have friends who can view my diary each night and can see my calorie burns, helps me to make wiser choices.
  • You sound like my husband. Based on who I know him to be, you're not a **** to the core. If you're anything like him, you have exceedingly high expectations and get pissed off when the rest of the world (and yourself) doesn't live up. Just try and take a step back and realize that you cannot control everything. Focus on…
  • You look fantastic! Congrats!
  • I was 21 and had just graduated from college and was moving across the country so I got one for the drive. I'm 34 now.
  • I'm 5'5" and my goal is 125. In 2007 I had gotten down to 135 and thought for my frame that I could easily lose another 10. So depending on your frame size you may or may not look too skinny. I'd say start for say 140 or so and then go from there once you get there.
  • I'm in to try as many on my knees pushups as I can. I'll break them up and hopefully get to my 100 by the end of the day.
  • Congrats! You've done awesome so far!

  • I joined back about 3 weeks ago after a nearly 9 month absence. I'll add you. Anyone else can feel free to add me as well.
  • And that poor chicken had to give it's life to turn into that disgusting can of yuck.
  • Yes, someone who weighs less will 'show' a weight loss with less weight to lose. I'm in the US so I'm not very familiar with the stone weight of measurement, but for me I know that typically people don't notice I've lost anything until I've lost 20-30 pounds. But my thinner friends will get noticed if they've lost 5-10…
  • Congrats! C25K is awesome and really sparked a love of running for me.
  • For me the time varies, but that's because my life is pretty chaotic right now. I don't belong to a gym because I have an absurd number of workout DVDs. Plus I'm living in my in-laws house to help them out (long story). Anyway, they sleep with their bedroom door open and so I cannot get up early or stay up very late and…
  • No, but I'm not living with my husband right now. As long as I have the items he typically eats in the fridge and pantry when he is up to visit on the weekends then he's happy.
  • Definitely don't try to lose it all at once. Aim for a slow and steady weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. Trust me, when I was your age I was trying to get quick fixes too and here I am 20 years later still trying to lose weight. Learn from my mistakes and make a lifestyle change that will keep you fit and healthy through…
  • THIS!!!! I'm living with my in-laws and they are such know-it-alls that I get told that to lose I need to fully cut carbs and soda. But I'm not and I'll lose regardless. Plus, I'd personally rather lose with exercising because that helps your whole body stay healthy too.
  • I seriously don't ask people questions unless I am 100% positive they are pregnant. I had someone ask me once if I was (this was before I had kids). I also had someone ask my 55 year old coworker when she was due. Granted she carries all her weight in a ball on her belly and definitely looks pregnant, but come on .... she…
  • I just got back on track on Sunday (after a nearly 8 month and sadly 30 pound slide). These are so true and after just 5 days I feel so much better.
  • You can both feel free to add me. I'm looking for encouraging friends as well and we can help motivate each other.
