change his goal to 1 lb a week and I garantee it will give him more cals. Also it is healthier to only lose a lb a week and it will stay off longer.

talk with your recruiter and get them to back up by a month so you can can lose the weight in a healthy manner. you don't want to lose weight drasticly then go thru the rigors of boot camp in a weakended state.

When you set up your goal, how active did you say you were? if you said secentary you need to go back in an adjust it. Also from what you said about exrecising and eating the exercise cals makes you feel better, then there is your motivation to exercise. try to allways do something everyday. good luck :drinker:
