Love! So happy to see you back and that you are doing well! That is all. :flowerforyou:

Awesome, good luck!

I did the relay for Rev3 Half Full last October, and it's easily one of the best events I've ever done. Would absolutely do another one of theirs, and hoping that they pick up Half Full again this year!

Definitely following this in 2013 so I can trim down a little and keep on rocking my half marathon/triathlon training!

Began *officially* eating more on Dec. 9, but this picture is actually from a couple weeks earlier when I finished phase 1 of NROLW. Can't remember my exact weight, but it was somewhere around 165. Was doing NROLW as well as half marathon training (15-20 miles/week), and trying to stay under 2000 cals per day. This one is…

I have been lifting heavy with New Rules of Lifting for Women, and happened to take a progress pic yesterday. Still a work in progress, but I'm pretty happy with where I'm going.

I would like to join, please. :flowerforyou: Started officially Dec 9 at TDEE-15%, and while it's going pretty well...the added support/accountability would be nice.

Walked down the aisle to Canon in D, played on steel drums...walked back up at the end to "One Love" by Bob Marley.

Day 1 for me, though I have been doing this all week. I'm on day 4 of my rest/active recovery week. So nice how good my body feels when I am kind to it!

I have a few goals... -Strength training 2x per week -Give my body a break when it needs it -Get back under 150!

Bump.

Thanks for all the great advice! My first sprint is on Sunday, and I'll definitely keep this stuff in mind. :-) Can't wait to be an Iron Girl!
-
Bumping to read often...balancing my calorie needs with tri training has been so tough! Much easier to think of it your way!

Clyde's 10K in Columbia is on April 15, I think.

I hate mayo and Miracle Whip, so I have had to experiment. Spicy brown mustard, a little bit of mashed avocado, and some black pepper, and it's divine...AND you get some good fats from the avocado!
-
Way to go, that is great news!!
-
Yep, that's the one...it's my first and I am SO NERVOUS!

Running has been pretty good...ran my last race of 2011 yesterday (Richmond Half-Marathon), and not only was it a PR, I beat last year's time by 6 minutes!! Good day. Now, looking forward to a break (from running) today and tomorrow, while scaling back a bit in the next couple of months.

Hi everyone! I'm Shuntae, 31 years old, and live in MD. I am a runner, but registered for my first sprint tri next August...been waffling about it for over a year, figured it was time to woman up and commit. The swim will be my weakest event, so I really plan to start working on it next month. Looking to take some classes…

I really like the NCR Trail and B&A, but don't go to either all that often. More often than not, I just stick to the local routes here in Columbia since I can just lace up my shoes and go. Definitely wouldn't mind branching out a bit for something new, though.

Hey everyone, I'm Shuntae and I live in Columbia. Back in Feb of 2009, I started running via Couch to 5k...and liked it so much that I've been doing it ever since! So far, I've run a handful of 5k's and 10k's, 6 halfs, and 1 full marathon...I'm actually heading down to Richmond today to run half #7 tomorrow. It's probably…

Hey ladies! 8.5 mile run this morning, plus errands...now, I'm enjoying some down time with the fiance. He wants Chinese takeout for dinner :grumble:...not what I want for my treat meal, so while I may let myself have the egg roll, I'm gonna be getting my usual steamed shrimp w/broccoli -sauce on the side. I do, however,…

I just really love cheese in general, but my favorites are feta and pepper jack. Happiness. So, I did a food swap with a friend who lives down South (I am in Maryland) and she sent me some goodies from New Orleans. Just had my first creamy praline...holy amazing, sweet goodness. Super rich, but super good.

Congrats, that's awesome!! :flowerforyou:

For the question about running...I run for distance, since I am usually training for races. But the calorie burn, and resulting extra food is an added bonus.
