  • This. I'm losing weight very slowly but I don't want to be skinny flabby either. I'd rather wait for awesome results and enjoy my journey more. I don't like starving anyway. I use Super Fortress whey Prortein Powder - Chocolate for days that I exercise A LOT and just can't meet my protein with food. Edited to add…

  • I started out a 1200 cals. I wasn't losing weight very quickly (I didn't care that much though) so I upped my cals because I refuse to live on 1200 a day for the rest of my life. I'll up it again if the progression stays the same. I don't want 1200 cals to be my maintenance once I reach goal. I don't care if it takes 2…
  • I'm going to get 30DS this evening! Those of you who are starting today please add me. We'll have a killer before/after pic thread when we're done! :drinker:
  • I began weight watchers in September 2012 and lost 15 lbs. I could lose weight if I met my points, but it didn't work for me to develop a healthy lifestyle. It was just weight loss. WW didn't have a lot of community users who were inspirational because they were already in shape. Most were just overweight trying to lose…
  • Awesome NSV! Congratulations!!!! I know you feel amazing.
  •

  •   I don't log any time I spend in the pool (and its a lot becuase we have one), because I'm usually going from tossing my daughter through the air to chilling on the floatie and it isn't consistent exercise. I would only log it if I were doing laps.
  • You look awesome!! Both of those suits are super cute!
  • I love cauliflower.
  • This! And do exercises like the chest press to help your chest muscles support them better and give them a lift. If you have access to the pulley-style machines, they usually have pictures of the muscle groups that the machine works.
  • I can usually manage a nod and the one finger wave. Depending on how my breathing is doing I may or may not attempt a " hi howareya". It might sound more like an "uhhh" with deep bass notes. They'd think they were on a zombie run. I usually don't even wait on a response. I'm back focused before they have a chance anyway.
  • Your sodium intake looks pretty high. There's a lot of sodium in highly processed foods and take out like Wendy's and McDonalds. I also see numerous days where you didn't log anything and a few where you went way over. Try to log consistently or you will get inconsistent results.
  • True story. I use to be a victim, blaming and whining and making excuses. Its WAY harder being the perpetrator ( ) but way more rewarding. Hard work has payoff. I think I'll do this for awhile.
  • Thanks for everyone's feedback! :flowerforyou: BMI doesn't seem like an exact science so I won't pay much attention. I think I'm gonna get some calipers and look at other calculators as well just to stay informed. Thanks again!!!
  • I am 5'3. My goal weight is 125-130. But really I have more of a goal "fitness". Fit and healthy is all I'm really aspiring to be regardless of the number on the scale.
  • Sometimes fighting fire with fire works, like hitting them below the belt after they've done it to you, and sometimes it just escalates things. It sounds like he has trouble interacting with people in a positive manner, resorting to criticism of others just to get attention and make everyone laugh. This is his personailty…
  • Hi Angela! Feel free to add me. My food diary is open to my friends. I log everything (unless I'm out of town)! Good luck on your journey!!
  • I'm jealous. My six year old thinks SHE has all the answers. :grumble:
  • Two weeks ago I noticed that my sodium was really high too so I stopped putting salt on things and instead use a salt-free seasoning. I also cut out the microwave dinners that I would sometimes eat for lunch because they were quick and easy. They are packed with sodium, as you said. I am not weighing myself for a month, so…
  • When I started exercising to deal with the stress that was going on in my life. If I couldn't control what was going on around me, I could at least control what was going on inside me. It became a habit and I eventually saw results which prompted even more exercise and healthy habits. Now I am more physically fit than I've…
  • I can't quit place it....Devil Wears Prada?
  • I don't follow pop culture at all, so no
  • Mie is open also. Feel free to add me. I'm always looking for new friends! :)
  • ^This. It sounds like he may be in a contemplation stage, which is a step above pre-contemplation, but he still has some emotional and mental challenges to overcome (that you can't do for him) before he'll progress to an action stage. Don't do more work than he's willing to do. It'll only frustrate you. Just make…

  • Yup, that's a great idea!
  • I also love dairy foods, especially cheese! I wonder if the gas is just a normal side effect of the cheese or if its a sign of intolerance. I use to get debilitating cramps when I was a kid after eating dairy or drinking milk. I stopped getting those as a teenager, but sometimes (not every time) experience slight…
  • Same here. I always get bloated and have water retention right before and through the first couple of days of my period. Even though I'm hormonal and sometimes want to over-indulge during that time, the best thing I can do is stay with my healthy eating and exercise. I try not to complicate things further by weighing or…
  • I second this. There could be more to it than your food intake. Get some blood work and rule out the medical stuff first if it is significantly interfering with your life.
