This is my first attempt at posting photos so I hope this works. This is before/after of 30DS that I completed a few weeks ago. Sorry I'm just getting around to posting! Edit: This didn't work the first time so I'm trying again...

I started Insanity last week the day after I completed 30DS!

Bump - I just started today

This is awesome. I'm really glad I went back in the posts and saw this today. My 6 year old is doing a color run with me tomorrow and I've been very worried that she's going to get tired (lazy) and throw a fit for me to carry her. I'm totally bribing her with money because I know that will work. THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!!!…

This makes me sad. I'm going to a movie tonight.

Peanut butter and chocolate things together (like peanut butter balls), block cheese, thickly shredded cheese, cheese-flavored chips like cheetos, doritos, cheese puffs, etc, and double-stuffed oreos. The oreos are safe until I have one. I can have an entire bag in the house and not be phased until I pop one. Then it's…

I use 3's :)

Good luck! I'm starting it in a couple of weeks when I'm done with 30 Day Shred.

We do what others are calling "hobo meals" but we call them "foil packs". The last time we went we used a foil pan instead of just foil because the foil will tear and drip out all the juice. I put in beef stew meat, whole sausage links, quartered red potatoes, carrots (cut small so they cook through), onions, A LOT of…

Glad to hear that you were able to get things going again in a reasonable amount of time. If in fact this is what I'm facing, that's good to know! Thanks!

My diary is open. I'm still changing things up a bit to figure out what works for me. Feel free to add me!

That's helpful, thank you. I would love to see some data where this is actually proven to be a myth. Mythbusters, maybe? Personally, I am exploring possibilities for continuing my fitness and overall health. If my metabolism is a finely oiled machine, then there's another explanation. I'll explore all possibilities, since…

My husband and I were both sedentary for a decade. I started exercising and eating right 10 months before he got interested. Now he's completely onboard. I was leading by example.

I do Zumba 2-3 times a week. When I go in the evening usually don't eat anything. I will have a snack (like a banana) before only if I am hungry. Personally, pasta would make me sluggish and heavy-feeling. You can try anything though and change it up as you go. You'll love Zumba! I started in March and I'm…

Great suggestions. I second these.

This is EXACTLY what I needed to know you guys. Thank you so much!!!

This. When I first started, it was super challenging. I go 2-3 times a week to class. Now, 5 months later, it isn't challenging at all. I keep doing it because it is so much FUN!!!!! Burning calories is just a bonus. It's one big party when we're all there dancing our butts off.

Thank you! Good to know!

I just completed level 1 today and start level 2 tomorrow. I see a drastic difference already in my muscle tone, especially in my arms and shoulders. (It's probably because I was over-zealous and got 3lb weights. ) I'm kinda nervous about level 2. I can't wait to see my end results with results this good after only…

I don't run for weight loss. I run for the endorphin high. I have to watch my food intake for weight loss. I wish I could lose weight by running alone, but it just hasn't happened that way for me. As far as other cardio, I do the elliptical 5x a week for 45min-1hr, which also didn't contribute to weight loss until I…

I agree. Muscle soreness is definitely normal - everyone experiences some when doing activities to which the body is not accustomed. If it is severe enough to interfere with walking, I'd take it down a notch for sure. I've been running a lot recently but I haven't since Saturday. I can still feel some soreness from my…

That smoothie sounds delicious, as does the lunch you're planning!

Under Armour can be expensive depending on what you get, but I will say this: I've tried a LOT of other brands because I didn't want to pay for Under Armour. I eventually bought some Under Armour compression capris because I got tired of ALL of my other pants falling off during Zumba and while running. (They just work…

Thanks for posting this!

Why do I always get sucked into reading the ENTIRE thread of these controversies? :noway: Well, at least I realized I was wasting my time only halfway through this one. I'm going to find some awesome new recipes now, which will most likey include dairy.

And after you do what the other posters suggest with logging and weighing/measuring everything, evaluate your progress then. If you are truly seeing no results, consult a doctor. You could have a thyroid or other medical issue that is preventing weight loss. 25 pounds is a lot to gain in a year without trying, and by…

I agree with this. I don't think any one food is inherently evil. Everything in moderation. If you can't moderate it, eliminate it. I personally don't have a chocolate addiction, so one piece every now and then doesn't throw me into a binge. Oreos are different. One turns into twenty, so I just don't buy them.

I, too, am baffled.

I'll drink to that. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: Edited to clarify that I will NOT be drinking the the picture posted above. :noway:
