That Dr. was a JERK! I hope you found a new one, lol. Are you really against a 4pm cup of tea or coffee? Some days I just have to have a little boost or I do the same thing, nap... then that screws up the rest of my night. Other days I'm ok, it's weird, but good luck. I want to run, I really do, but as of right now I'm still more of a walker. I will say that 4 weeks ago, at 210lbs, I started MFP and started walking 1 mile a day. That almost killed me! Today, I walked 3 miles with running 45sec every so often. So I'm working my way up (slowly, lol) to were I can be a "Runner". I feel…

I wear socks & my Asics running shoes. It puts me in an exercising calorie burning frame of mind. (but I do hate doing Zumba on carpet w/shoes)

I like the POLAR FT4, I got mine from Amazon. I use it walking out side, on the treadmill, Zumba etc... It's very user friendly, and I like the reviews it got. Gook luck. :happy:

ME TOO!!! 4 c-sections, 45yrs old, and an extra 50lbs does not make for a pretty tummy. After I burn off some of this fat, I'll def need help trying to TAME the POUCH!!!

OK, now I think I understand. It's reading my swimming AND my basic resting body calorie burn. So I CAN NOT count this reading as being accurate for today. I've read alot of reviews, and for the price (Amazon $52 & free shipping :happy: ) I really like the Polar FT4. I mainly bought it for Zumba & the pool. But I'm still really confused on if it's the right reading at the end of a day?? I hopw we both find out, lol. I would still suggest this one.

For me when I see how much exercise I have to do to burn a certain amount of calories, it has totally changed how I eat. Once I see how many calories are in something like a large glazed donut (310), and I know how much effort I have put into my exercise, it's just not worth it. You can do it, it is hard I wont lie to you, but you CAN do it. I have been smoke free for one year now, I smoked for 25yrs. I used "Chantix". I had no problems or side effects. I understand completely. I have to admit I really need to get up early to exercise instead of trying to fit it in later in the day. But on the other hand, I was happy to double my usual calorie burn yesterday because I wanted pizza for dinner, lol. I do have a whole new respect for my food calorie to exercise ratio!
