  • I live in GA and saw this. The great thing about a competitive market....people don't have to go there! Once word of this spreads enough, no one is going to go here and they will eventually go out of business. Gotta love the free market!!
  • Been on Depo for 12 years....yep...you gain weight like crazy. Since it is progesterone based, it just tells your body you are pregnant the entire time. You can lose weight while on it. I have. I takes a lot more dedication, but 12 yrs later...no kids!
  • Although MFP changes the calories, fat, etc proportionately, I have found that some of the stats don't change. 2500mg of sodium is still based on a 2000calorie a day diet. Calcium and other vitamins are still 100%--on a 2000cal diet. The FDA has actually changed the food pyramid this year and 1500mg of sodium is the new…
  • I can eat corn on the cob, but not off the cob...even if I take a knife and shear it off. Just the consistency....don't know??
  • I love to mow the lawn. It gets me outside and provides a lot of exercise. I also like to organize and straighten up the house. I hate to scrub the 200 gallon bathtub we have and the shower (but I do it 1x a wk anyway) I just hate having to climb into the tub to clean it. I'm not a big fan of cat litter boxes either, but…

  • I agree! I love the Dekalb farmer's market. I live in Athens and we have a pretty good one too. However, whenever I go to Atlanta, I either stop at Gwinnett or Dekalb to pick up some strawberries or peaches for the road!
  • There are a lot of salt substitutes out there. I don't know the names off hand, but I am sure someone here knows. Watch out though, 1 or 2 of them leave a bitter aftertaste. However, the one my dad uses tastes just like salt with 0 sodium. Best of luck!

  • Local farmer's markets are the best place to shop. Everything is more fresh, grown locally and a lot cheaper than grocery stores (even Wal-mart). Dried and frozen foods in grocery stores are usually cheaper and actually have more nutrients in them than the "fresh" stuff that sits in a storage facility until it ripens. If…

  • It is always nice whenever you get a compliment no matter who it came from. Whenever it is a stranger though, it make you stop and take note that other people really are watching. Way to go on all the weight loss. Keep it up!
  • Welcome! I always try to find a hotel with a fridge so that I can bring my own stuff. It is cheaper and easier to count cals that way. If they have the complimentary breakfast, try to fill up on the fruits and veggies in the morning so that you eat less when you actually have to go out to eat. Try ordering half orders at…
