Yes, there is quite a difference, and yes, I think most of us have the same trouble, other people can see but we don't. Measuring shows the difference in size just as the scale does in weight. Keep up the good work and see ya at the next 20lb mark...

My wife is also loosing her breasts. What I don't understand is why there is so much emphasise on the breasts with both males and females. I agree, a nice pair of breasts look very nice, but not if the rest of the figure is a disaster. In fact, a fit body with small breasts is more attractive than an unfit person no matter…

Probably the only stamina he has...

You look great, I always find these to be very inspirational and hope to have my own before and after pics up here before too long. Thanks for sharing

I just ignore them; but they can actually be pretty annoying. I'm using Mozilla Firefox for a browser, and recently tried the adblock ad-on and don't even see them anymore.

Bump (My lovely wife is also looking for bathing suits that will fit her well, look sexy, and also be comfortable)

I don't really have anything I've lost since losing, but did when I gained. My hips! I don't have much for hips to start with, and with the increase in my waist, they became non-existent. It's so difficult to keep ones pants at a comfortable position when there are no hips to hang them from. I'm constantly having to pull…

Wow! What a great job. Congratulations and best wishes for maintaining. Thanks for posting the pictures along with your success, it's always motivating to "see" what we have to achieve.

It's inspiring to know, and good for her. It shows this site is the way to go. The down side is, with the added publicity of some losing a lot of weight and sharing MFP through the media and talk shows, as well as celebrities talking about this site, it's going to continue to grow rapidly. Along with a lot of good, honest,…

You missed one, The Pilsner Purge, drink beer till nothing but liquid evacuates both ends. Sadly, I've known people almost this bad, and yes, they were thin, but far from healthy.

Make it 19 and add that it's not just comments from your support team. Best wishes with the marathon and with your journey.

We had the same problem, so we filled our different sized glasses with water, then poured it from the wine glass into a clear measuring cup that is marked with ounces. Not that it matters, we usually end up finishing off the bottle anyway... LOL

Ladybug has it correct, in nutritional contexts the calorie and kilocalorie are the same size. In other applications, a kcal = 1000 calories. Note that calories is spelled with a small "c" indicating it is the amount of energy needed to increase the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 °C. On the other hand, one Calorie,…

Yep, like many others already stated, it's guilt. No, you didn't inflict guilt on him, he did it to himself, but then had to try and justify himself so that he could pass the guilt to you. Hence, when your dying... He has a point, who wants to go through life missing out on enjoyable foods? but he missed the boat, it's not…

Maybe try upping the carbs a bit. My wife and I have, after much research, decided that both sides seem to argue a lot of B-S to the opposite side. Also, I believe that, as with so many things, $ is involved as much as, if not more, than the customer's long term results. With what we learned, and some critical thinking, we…

I've noticed that in other places, too. They used to have bigger seating in cars, cafe's, everywhere. Then for a while it seemed that they all started going sub-compact size. Over the last 40 pounds of loss, however, I am finding that everyone is going back to the full sizes seats... Keep it up, and good luck.

I don't know if it was meant to be good or bad, it seemed like it was more a slam, but I didn't take it as such. I was told that I looked like Waylon Jennings when they seen me with long hair and some facial hair.

You should eat them, but when it's a huge loss, there just isn't any way your going to eat that much. I recommend just eating till your satisfied, the same as any other time. However, keep in mind that with a large deficit today, you may find you are more hungry tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing. Your success is our motivation. You've done a great job so far, keep it up and maybe next time we meet, it will be with before and after pics. (Yours and mine) ;~)

Myth: Red meat is bad for you. Truth, green fuzzy meat is bad for you...

Actually, muscle does weigh more than fat. Understand, please that you have to have the same volume of each, for example one cup of muscle compared to one cup of fat. "Muscle density is 1.06 g/ml and fat density is (about) 0.9 g/ml. Thus, one liter of muscle would weight 1.06 kg and one liter of fat would weight 0.9 kg. In…

I think different companies use different formulas to derive the caloric values. Also, preparation can make a difference, perhaps one has retained more water than another, or one has used more water in processing. I use the information at the U.S.D.A. if I'm unsure or don't believe the label information. The link is:…

Yes, you may even increase at first, but keep in mind, this is from the change and not from fat. You may increase muscle mass, too, which can add some weight, even as fat comes off. So, if you add 1/2 pound of muscle and lose 1/2 pound of fat, your already healthier, but your not "seeing" in on the scale. Just stick with…

I didn't use to count anything, and that's what got me here to begin with. However, if I wanted to sell a means of losing weight, I would definitely tell you not to count everything, so that sooner or later, you would be back, buying more of my weight loss product...

It's great to have others notice, keep up the good work. I had to laugh at your topic heading, however. I had one of those annoying pop-up adds for a NSV right before reading this. I guess if it's a little package, then it's a mini NSV... Oh, the add, or at least part of it, "One technique that has grown in popularity with…

Way to go. Your on the right track, and soon, your going to be feeling like a new person.

We often don't see the difference at all, but others do. The changes are small, and we see ourselves constantly, so we don't notice the change. Also, I believe we build an image of what we think we look like, and it's difficult to break that image and see the real self. How do your cloths fit? How about your belt, have you…

Eat till your satisfied, don't over eat to make it up. If you got a big burn in, your going to have a big deficit, but it's OK. I know that when we do a long bike run and end up with a similar circumstance, there just isn't any way to eat that much. On these days, I just eat till I'm satisfied, and try and make sure it's…

I think they are all about the same, based on alcohol content, unless it's a blend with other fruit juices or flavorings. You can always Google it, for example, "nutritional info for Pinot Noir," also, there is a great database at the USDA that may have more by brands, the link is:…

The very term "cheat" is self destructing, in my opinion, however the principle of taking a break and rewarding yourself for a week of hard work is actually motivating. We, my wife and I, take a recharge day, and for a while did it on Saturdays. Now, with her schedule in constant flux, we use one of her days off and try to…
