A fitbit is more like....a glorified pedometer. Don't get me wrong, I -love- mine, as it inspires me to be more active. HRM's are much more accurate in calorie burn, so you should probably stick with that. That being said, I have more luck losing weight when I don't eat my exercise calories back. Or at least not -all- of…

For me, sexy is a state of mind. There are plenty of people who match Hollywood's "ideal" body type, and still don't find themselves 'sexy.' Now, if you had asked if we work out to have better sex? Absolutely. More stamina, flexibility and overall awesomeness.

I am not a runner, and 90 pounds over weight. My first 5k was a Biggest Loser Run/Walk (Which I recommend) and I didn't pay attention to the time. Finishing was enough for me. I ran a 5k loop on the treadmill yesterday, 2 mins walk, 2 mins jog and finished in just over 52 mins.

Psh, not without a drink first.

Crisps: UK/Europe Chips: 'Murica. Same thing. Because "chips" in the UK are fries. Also, don't get me in to the whole "cookie/biscuit" thing.

The best way for me to curb snacking is not to buy it in the first place. Everything in my pantry is on the "ok" snacking list. I also pack my lunch and prelog my calories of everything I brought so I only eat what I brought. It saves me money, calories, and prevents mindless snacking.

There are these frozen garlic cubes that I love adding to it. Also, I tend to use it in things, such as a rice/beans burrito, or underneath seasoned veggies/sauces. I so rarely eat it plain.

So do I. It's a tough go, and working myself up to actually getting on the treadmill/go to the track is the hardest part. While I'm doing it I'm tired, uncomfortable, and it physically hurts. Of course I weight 250 lbs, so my joints feel the strain. And still I go. I run for distance 2 days of the week, and run sprints for…

Imgur. But beware, you'll lose years of your life there looking at cat pictures.

You're right! Needs more hair.

The first time I lost weight in college, this is exactly how it was for me. I started at 245, and in 6 months I'd dropped down to 195. From there to 175 took me -forever- Though I was too frustrated to see that it was still coming off. I wish I'd been patient. I wish I hadn't given up. I gained it all back and then some…

I guess it's better than being singled out for not being "strong enough". I get that -a lot- as a woman. I'd take being perceived as "big and strong" than "flabby and weak" any day. Find something else to complain about. Life's just too short.

Leftovers, which is pretty usual as I always cook an extra portion at night. Today was brown rice, marinara sauce, chicken, zucchini, mushrooms and spinach. Omnom.

It definitely has to do with where you carry your weight/brand of jeans. At my highest weight, 268, I had just moved in to a 20. That was a serious turning point for me. I'm currently 247 and am wearing a 16, though they can be snug when they first come out of the dryer. At 220 I'm in a 14. When I lost before, I got down…

RULE 1: Drink a Large Glass of Water before Every Meal – No Excuses! I drink water heavily throughout the day, so I guess this counts as "before" every meal. RULE 2: Don’t Drink Your Calories Exception: Coffee creamer, but that's carefully measured/logged. RULE 3: Eat Protein Every Meal – or Stay Hungry and Grouchy I try…

I start most weekdays with coffee. I brew it at home with a French press and end up with about 12oz which I take to work. I wish I could drink it black, but I add carefully measured tbsps of reduced calorie creamer. I'm working on lowering the amount of creamer. No soda, but they do have water flavorings that I have…

One day at a time. Consider all the work you've done, how far you come. Are you willing to lose that progress? All those sweat, blood, and tears? Motivation has to come from within, no one can give it to you. I'd suggest reflecting on where you were, where you are and where you want to be.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Whatever I wanted until I was uncomfortably full. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I could eat an entire half gallon in one sitting if I wanted to. At some point I even had it for dinner. I can imagine what that diet looked like in the future....

I prefer my Fitbit Flex. It looks like a watch to most people and has a pretty low profile. I've gotten to the point that I forget it's there. I've even jumped in to the pool with it on like a special snowflake. Luckily it's waterproof (though they say 'water resistant') But believe me, I found it on the bottom of the…
