Congrats! Do you mind if I ask how tall you are? Excellent progress. We can all see how hard you've worked!

Pulled on a size 14 pair of jeans today. It's been -years- since I've been this small.

Yes! This is exactly how I treat my calories. I confuse some people when I'm like "Nope, too expensive." and I'm not talking $, I'm talking Cals. I'd wondered if anyone else thought of it like this!

41 lbs in 4 months here. Ultimately, once you have control of your food intake, the rest is a breeze.

How terrible they brought things home for you. Be grateful they got you anything at all. Eat what you have available, go to bed, then wake up and start again. You're not going to starve to death over a single missed dinner. Don't be such a drama queen.

I'm going to take this as a compliment! With enough make up and the right camera angles, magic happens ;)

My Fit Bit goal is set for 10.000 steps daily. I have a desk job where I'm immobile for 7.5 hours out of hte day. This means, in order to reach my goals, I need to walk before work, at lunch, and after work. If I don't take the time to choose to walk, I'd never make my goal. But as I've dropped 41 lbs in 4 months, I…

Thanks! Me too! I prefer short hair, and keep joking that last 3 lbs was from hair alone. ;)

Open your Diary. You may be eating "healthier" while still eating too many calories.

I'm at a consistent 2 lbs each week. To the point I've taken a calendar and written on every Friday -2, and I've hit each week on the nose. I am 5'7", started at 268. June 1 I was at 253 July 1 I hit 242 August 1 I was 230 Sept 1 I was 221 And as of this morning (9/30) I was 212. I don't follow a special diet, but I do,…

27, started in June at 253. My highest was 268. Currently, I'm down 54 lbs at 214. I've got about 65 lbs to go.

Everyone's different. Some people lack motivation for activity, others can't quite get their diet right. For me? Before mfp I was exercising like crazy (4 hours a day) but still over consuming "healthy" foods. So I lost very slowly, or not at all. Once I figured out my nutrition, I didn't need to work out excessively. If…

Your kitchen. Honestly, weight loss is 80% diet, 20% fitness. Or so that's been my experience. I have a Fitbbit instead of a HRM because I'm not looking to obsess over every calorie I "burn". Instead, I want to focus on being more active in general (while making sure to stay under my calorie goal) as that's a far more…

I love my Fitbit flex. Got it as a birthday present and it's been a great tool. What it is - An activity tracker: gives you an idea of how much you are/aren't moving A sleep tracker: keeps track of tossing/turning A competitive game: You can have friends compete with one another for "steps" there's even a leader board.…

A year or so ago, two of my aunts were drinking protein shakes like no one's business because they said it was "good for weight loss" In the end, they'd both gained. Likely because they were drinking them in addition to full meals, and overconsuming calories. Now that I've had noticeable success with weight loss they've…

Mmmm. That looks better than what I had. Most weekdays, because I eat at my desk, I have: Greek Yogurt Banana Coffee On weekends I like to have: English muffin Eggs Turkey sausage Combine in to one delicious sandwich.

I've consistently lost 10 lbs a month for the last 4 months. That's with regular logging and moderate exercise. If I hopped over to p90x, I bet I could get that as high as 15 a month. It's all about the work you're willing to put in. The only reason you haven't been able to lose 11 lbs in a year is because you haven't done…

For some reason I'll be up 2 lbs during the week, then on Friday morning I'll dip down to my starting, followed by -2 or -3 on Saturday morning. It's been like this for the last few months. It just is what it is. All you can do is be consistent with your calories/activity, and eventually the scale will get there. Don't…

I'm not married, but if you are...

I actually eat mayo more often. But for both, it's a matter of calories. IIFYM.

Wow. #WCW

You are amazing! Thank you for your story and motivation.

I was stuck at 200 for a few weeks (the first time I lost weight) I just had to refocus myself, adjust my calorie in take and step it up on the activity level. Ultimately, I broke through that wall: Calories in vs Calories out. The secret to it all (which isn't really secret) is consistency! You can do it!

Bump because this thread is awesome, and soon I'll have before/afters to share!

The only frozen meals I buy are Amy's. Most of the time I prefer to cook my own meals. I have much more control over what's going in to them that way.
