I also have found myself binging now that I'm close to my goal weight. I'm down to a good size (8/10), but would like to lose a little more so that I have some wiggle room if I get off track. I'm an emotional eater and really need to gain control of it before I'm back to where I started (on the verge of a size 12). Lately,…

My waist is currently 29" and would gather to guess that my waist before children was somewhere between 24-26" (don't remember). I would like to get to 27-28" waist as I think it's more realistic for me.

My moment was about a year ago when I was on the verge of going up a size in jeans. I could barely zipper them up. Plus, at a doctor's visit I was seeing numbers again that I hadn't seen since I was pregnant. My mom and aunt have and still struggle with weight issues and I know that it gets harder as you get older to lose…

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cinnamon-Raisin-Granola/Detail.aspx Love this recipe! Just made it yesterday and had some today. I just leave out the coconut. It definitely is filling and delicious!! W/O coconut 1/2 cup is 147 calories, 3g saturated fat (not great) and 5g total fat.

What an amazing transformation! If you have fallen off track a little just pick yourself back up. The pics should be an inspiration. You have accomplished a lot, be proud!

CricketKate, love your quote! "Face your stuff, don't stuff your face!" Exactly my problem!

Made them and they are yummy! If you really want the chocolate/peanut butter experience, I think I would add a little more chocolate. Very creamy and a much better alternative to the real thing! I made them with Hershey's lite syrup and they came out to be about 40 calories. So, if you end up eating a couple...no big deal!

Then why are you going to her wedding if she was so awful to you? Seems odd to me.

I was not disappointed! Only by the fact that we have to wait until the fall to see new ones again!

Man I will definitely want to watch it online tomorrow then! Since I haven't watched it tonight!

Getting a deal is great, but fitting into a smaller size is even better! Congrats!!

I second that! My first son was 10lbs 12oz and then I had my twins who were over 12lbs together! My stomach will never be bikini worthy again!! Even if I was able to flatten it, the stretch marks alone would scare some away!! LOL

In addition to trying to control my addiction with food, I realized that I had to deal with WHY I over eat. I had to get my emotions in check and find out better ways to deal with stress. I did read some self-help books that helped me gain a better perspective of my life. Once I was able to be more positive and deal with…

Fiber is really good for you! Besides making you feel full longer, it also moves things along in your digestive tract. BUT if you don't generally eat a lot of fiber, it's better to work up to the 25 grams as you don't want to have problems in the bathroom.
-
If you are going by the number that MFP automatically puts in there, it's below the recommended value. It should be at least 25 grams. So you may not be really going over, but making the recommended value. You can change your daily amount by going to goals---> change goals---> custom. I peeked at your food diary and it's…

Don't beat yourself up about it. Just move on. You cannot change the past, but work on the future. Plus, if you are like me, you'll agonize over it and then feel like you want to eat more. Horrible cycle!

This is why I don't rely on scales to check my progress. I don't have a scale, but am so tempted to get one. But since I have been seeing results in how my clothes fit and with measurements I keep telling myself I don't need one. It can really burst your bubble if the numbers aren't moving as you think they should be.…

Yes, it's the fluids they gave you during surgery. Drinking water will help flush it out. Try not to worry over it.

It sounds like you need to change your mental attitude towards life, yourself, and your body. I just got serious about getting healthier about a month ago and am seeing good results. BUT before I made the commitment I checked out a bunch of different self-help books that really helped me put my life into perspective. I had…

Other ways to relieve emotional stress: ~Yoga ~Meditation or deep breathing

I also agree that you don't have to deprive yourself, but you don't want chocolate to be your stress reliever unless you have just a small portion and it satisfies you. If you are like me, you would want to eat a huge candy bar to get through the emotions.
-
Been there, done that! I too am an emotional eater by nature, but have really taken a good effort to break the cycle. If I was stressed out or just got some bad news I would run to the pantry and overeat! Now that I haven't overeaten in almost a month it's getting easier. Here are some suggestions you can try to help when…

I find it pretty easy to keep up with my food and exercise diary. This site makes it pretty easy as it saves what you have entered previously so you can just go back and check it off. A lot of times I'll enter my dinner in early in the day if I already know what we are having. I have found this website to be crucial to my…

By the way, if you are finding yourself craving some chocolate I've found Kellogg's Fiber Plus bars to help a lot. When I'm eyeing a donut or some ice cream, I grab one of those bars instead. They taste sooooo good, but only have 130 calories. They also have 35% of your recommended daily intake of fiber so it helps you to…
