ah well, at least i am trying to get down to a sensible size though
  • I agree! LOL I would love to be able to find mine =p I would like to eventually be a 25-26, though.

Haha my goal is 24! I'm currently at 25 right now, so getting close. I think it all depends on how you carry your weight, I'm an hourglass. I'm 5'6 and 128 and as long as I can remember I've had a really defined waist, even when I was 10-15 pounds heavier.

I've been the same, ive been from 117 to 160 lol and ive always had a pretty hourglassish figure.
    39-32-42 at my biggest
to a 35-27-38 at my smallest

I just don't think i'll ever get smaller than that. :P

Sounds like you and I have a similar body shape. I'm currently 36-30-40, and my goal is 35-28-38. I have huge hips, so I doubt they'll ever go below 38, so a waist smaller than 28 sound probably look ridiculous on me!

    hehe mines 24 :)

    Woah, it sure is!!

    @ pelleld
    I'm 5'1.5" lol
It's just a crazy thought, since my thighs are about 22.5 inches around. A waist 1.5 inches bigger? Woaaah.
I guess you could call me "Thick."

My thighs were 22 last time they were measured. Its easier to hide the thighs because my waist is small, but man I hate my thighs! Thighs are a tough spot to lose weight in, I'm hoping with all my exercise that they will at least get toned so I can wear shorts this summer. I usually stick to capris, in shorts I look like a jello jiggler commercial..............

Mine are 22.5 too! Well, at the middle. 23.5 higher up. My goal is to get them to about 21-20. I've already lost an inch around my thighs and have developed muscle tone from running. I'm hoping another few weeks or months of running will really help out a lot. My thighs are the LAST place I lose fat, so a bit of muscle is really helpful. Just last night, I tried on a pair of shorts I was embarassed to wear 3 months ago and they looked so much better! Can't wait for summer!

When I graduated high school I was 36/26/38. I know I will never see that again! I will be happy with 30 or less.

My waist is currently 29" and would gather to guess that my waist before children was somewhere between 24-26" (don't remember). I would like to get to 27-28" waist as I think it's more realistic for me.
  • Back during my college sorority days when I weighed 100 lbs. I had a 22" waist. I'm petite and *VERY* small-boned (my wrist is only 5 1/4").

After 3 kids, I don't think that's ever coming back even if I somehow got myself back down to the same weight (which is really too thin for me anyways).

I'd love to get it to 24" though so I could wear my "skinny" jeans without major muffin top.

I was curious to what most girls here had as their goal waist size!
Do you take into account your frame?

I'd like to get to a 27, any smaller than that just seems crazy for me.

But I here about girls with 24 inch waists? They must have such a dainty skeletal structure, right?

They would be size 0 - 4, depending on how curvy they are. At one point in my misspent youth I had a 20 inch waist and a 40 inch hip... freak of nature kind of thing.

Im totally fine with mine. I think getting them to a 21 at the smallest. My cellulite is practically gone, and I have some killer cuts when I walk. lol :D

I totally bet you can rock shorts!!

What's a killer cut and how do I get one?

How'd you get rid of the cellulite?

Like, when I walk, you can see the muscles in my thighs moving around.
And, as for the cellulite, it just kinda goes away when I do a lot of jogging/plyometrics/walking.

    Wow 5 1/4!
    Mine is 6 1/3!
Some places, say I have a Large frame, but the thumb test says I have a medium frame.
Maybe I just have big hands.

I was amazed when I measured my waist last week that it had gone from 87 to 77 cm!! That's now about 30 inches. I've never had a very slim waist, and I doubt I'll lose much more off it, but I'm delighted at the change!

kjensen15, I always have trouble finding pants that fit. Its really frustrating, b/c certain parts are always too big, and certain parts are always too small (in my clothing) just due to my proportions. Not fair in the least.

I'm an apple too, I started at almost a 48 in waist at my biggest. Currently I am at about 40.5 at the widest part and 38.5 at the smallest part of my waist. I can't wait to get to a 30 inch waist :D I think I can definitely go smaller if I keep at this weight loss :D

Mine is currently 29". I don't recall what it was when I was 120lbs (my lightest), but I think it was around 25"-26".

Mine was 24 when I was 17. Not since then, though! The smallest it has been as an adult was 27, and I was pretty thin back then (underweight at around 110 lbs). I have a small build, but very little space between my hips and my ribs, only about 2 inches at most, so I don't really have much room to go in. Usually my waist is a little less than my rib measurement (30 inches). It is currently 29, and I am aiming to lose another inch.

My lowest ever was probably 24" at about 115 lbs. I am a little thicker now, but I still have about a 25" waist. I think I have a 5" wrist, which is really small. What about knee measurements? I always feel those are the biggest areas regarding my legs after my thighs. I do not want to lose more weight, though.

My waist size is 27 inches, but I'd like it to get to 26. However, I am at my goal weight and I do a lot of oblique work, so I don't see that happening. I am 5'5" and 125lbs.

Currently at a 33" waist but would love to get down to a 29" and see how I feel there. When I first started in December my waist was at 45" so I'm getting there. :smokin:

Quoted my previous post to add that I'm currently at a 28 inch waist and still going.

    Awe :3

    I don't think i've ever seen mine below 27, even when i was 117lbs!!

I think it may be because I have a medium to large frame. =[
    It's okay tho, I have what I have! :D

I am at a 27 inch waist and 118! I really wanna get to 25 though!

I have a HUGE waist....46"....it's just 2" smaller than my hips. Have you been doing any special exercises that target the waist or is the weight coming off the waist area just because of the diet alone? I look like a 56 year-old pregnant woman and this baby has gotta go if you know what I mean...LOL!

I am a total APPLE shape. My waist is 35", my bust and hips are both 40". I'd like to get down to a 36 bust, 28 waist, and hips, 34ish.
A LOT of work ahead of me.
