"Where did you get that dress? Nashville Tent and Awning" and this was 4 weeks after I had delivered my 3rd child. Gotta love customers when they think they are being funny. Why is it that it's okay to say things to overweight people? You wouldn't say something ugly to a cancer patient or a person that was afflicted with a…

Hi Harmony! Welcome. If you use this site as it is meant to be used and are honest in your logging you will be successful. I started at 380# and am now at 310 pounds. I am proof that it can work. Sending a friend request now.

It's been almost 8 months and I still have trouble with chicken (regardless of how it's cooked), and roasts of any kind. I stick to lots of fish and stews. Now that it's getting warmer I will be doing alot of vegetables and cool foods. Tonight it's Baked potatoes and salad. I'm just going to up my protein during the day.

I have lost 70 pounds of the past 6-7 months and am constantly freezing. I joke that when the surgeon did my lap band surgery he also turned down my internal thermostat. In reality he did, my blood pressure is not near as high as it was prior to surgery.

Hi! I'm 7 months out of a band surgery. CANNOT do Chicken what so ever after 5pm. Some days everything is normal, I can eat anything (and things I shouldn't). Other days I can't eat anything. My band is very finicky. Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I've had these several times and have had no problem. Today…

I am on it. Love it. I take 150 a day and it really helps. Don't think I could do it all without it.

My post was not meant to be negative. Yes, I do HATE to exercise. But I HATE being fat and unhealthy more so I will learn to tolerate exercise. I hope one day to be one that craves exercise. They say it takes 3 weeks of doing something consistantly to make it a habit. That's what I am trying to do. I am trying to like…

Happy Spring!!! I hope everyone is ready for a successful month. Weight loss last month was pretty good (8#). This month I am going to focus on exercise. I HATE to exercise! I HATE to sweat (I guess it's the girly girl in me). But unless I want to be flabby girl I need to kick it into gear. NO MORE EXCUSES. My goal for…

Ditch the "diet". Make it a lifestyle. Calories in/Calories out. It really is that simple.

Hey Amanda, Sorry you are having so many issues. Hopefully they will find it is something other than the band. Let us know what you find out. You are in my prayers.

The Cabot 75% fat free is pretty good. Since I focus on protein I eat alot of cheese. Babybel Light is good as is full fat Cheddar.

Just found this Group. I had lap band surgery in August 2011 and am currently down 67# (mfp says 65 but is off by 2#). It has been a very eye opening 6 months and I still believe it has been the best decision I have ever made. I am a 47 yr old mom of 3 (27, 22, and 19). My starting weight was 380#. My goal weight is 165. I…

Bless you. If I had to deal with 6 kids under the age of 5 for 1 day a week I would need the mental health professional full time. Glad there are people like you in the world.

Why would you eat an egg with no yolk? That's just not right.....Ha-Ha. I love the yoke. I eat about 8-10 per week. No problem with my cholesterol either.

Popcorn without Butter????? Yuck, might as well eat some cardboard. It has about the same taste as popcorn w/o butter of some sort.

My thoughts are if you are hungry you will eat what I fix or fix something yourself. My son is 19 do it's time for him to be able to fend for himself. Half the time it's just the hubby and I eating dinner at the table. My hubby needs to eat healthier so it benefits both of us.

It's all about calories in versus calories out. Plain and simple.
-
My surgeon has me on 50 carbs or less per day. He pairs that with 60 to 80 grams of protein.
