I work with my coach entirely online - she's amazing! She's a certified nutritionist and personal trainer, and she works with people from all walks of life. You can see more of my progress on her page in her client reels. I'm Dawn. Her IG is @smarta.coach The link is:…

Hi there, that's not nosy at all - thanks for asking! I do have others in the house. We do eat much of the same foods, but I do take into account my own personal caloric and nutritional needs depending on my goals.

It sounds like you must have overexerted yourself. Ease yourself back into working out, don't go too hard on yourself, especially after a six month hiatus.

Eventually you will get a bit of an eye for it. The way I've changed my eating over time is learning how much protein, carbs, and fats work best for my body type. I've been doing this for a little over five weeks now and it's made such a difference in how I feel. I don't have insulin crashes during the day that cause me to…

Hit the complex carbs and protein. 1 cup of brown rice gives you 246 calories, add some lean protein to that and say, a green salad with a healthy fat - 1/2 avocado - you'll get your calories up there in 2 meals, depending on how much you eat.

Hello there, June! :)

Thanks for your response, abadvat. I've been going by what I'm seeing in the mirror primarily, and my instinct tells me at this point to incorporate a couple more days of cardio along with my strength training days to even out my gains. My metabolism and body structure seem to be that of a mesomorph, so I know I'm capable…

bump Great info in this thread. I'm bulking too!

Sexy bald guy for the win! My man is a sexy bald guy too! :D

I've been going hard at the weight training for a few months now and I've gone from 108lbs to 120lbs, yet my waist measures smaller than it was and my muscle definition is much better. I was looking at your profile picture and I can see a difference in your progress. You're on the right track! Keep going - you're doing…

Absolutely that's what supposed to happen! When it comes to weight training, the last thing you should be looking at is the scale. Don't let it discourage you. It will go up as you gain muscle mass.

Gorgeous lips!

Beautiful eyes!

Most Likely to Annihilate the World with Sarcasm and Rainbows! (I only had your profile picture to go by, lol)

Heck no! No magic numbers! Sounds like you're doing well to me! It's really all about form. Provided you've got spot-on form, then focus on how much you bench or lift.

LOL!! Yeah, because being healthy and fit is sooo yucky!

Honestly, in the long run squats will do AMAZING things for your butt! Don't stop doing them! I know your pain - I can't fit into my pants lately either! Not only do squats work your glutes and hammies, but they also work your quads (thigh muscles). They're also a culprit for shrinking pants. Just because your *kitten*…

How about a pair of tickets to the local playhouse or symphony? It supports the arts in your community and you two have a wonderful evening together! It would also go great as an add-on to any other gifts you're now thinking of!
-
^^ This is excellent advice. Absolutely girl - you need to start eating more, putting on weight, and start lifting!

False! I've never accidentally left the house with my shirt on inside out.

MrJimmies abs are fab! I'll take those, thank you!

Congratulations!! You are awesome! :drinker:
-
Hey Vincent - you are awesome and you answered many of the questions that I had in the back of my head regarding weight training! Thanks man! Now to do some lifting - oh, and eat my f#@$ing fiber.

Thinspo and proana are one and the same - thinspo is trying to disguise itself as healthy and fit, when in all actuality it's very dangerous to not only your physical well being, but to your mental, emotional and spiritual identity as well . Perhaps it's time to prioritize some things about yourself and what you really…

TiaMcDonald: You kinda remind me of Sheryl Crow! :)

HA HA HA HA HA!! That is the grossest description of a fart that I've ever read! HA HA HA HA HA!

Yes, it's definitely based on bone structure and density too. I'm 5'2, but very fine boned. I feel the most comfortable at 105lbs and I don't look half-starved either.

Super awesome! Looking great!!

HA HA HA HA! Oh man, I think I just woke everyone up from laughing. These really are words of encouragement.

How about Levi? (Levi is my son's name). By all means, you can borrow it! :)
