True, I guess I was more disagreeing with the "You have to work a billion times harder than if you don't eat them". I should have just quoted that part. I feel that I CAN work harder, because I do eat them, if that makes sense at all :-)

Wow, I guess your nutritionist knows more than my scale! I wonder how in the world I've gone down 4 pant sizes eating them back? Who knew?!?

When I first started, I felt the same way you did, and didn't eat my exercise calories back. After doing a lot of reading, and great advice from friends on here, I started eating them back. As long as you are reasonably sure of the amount of calories you are burning, I think eating them back is a great thing. Since I…

If you open up your diary you'll probably get some great suggestions! :-)

I love it mixed in with my plain Greek yogurt, with a packet of Splenda! Mmmm!

Most days I have 2 eggs over easy, 4 slices of Butterball thin & crispy turkey bacon, and a slice of sprouted grain toast with whipped lower fat cream cheese and 1/2 tbs of strawberry jam for 352 calories!

Is it the glass Weight Watchers scale? Mine does that too! Right to the ounce! I just grab something heavy and hop on and off and then weigh myself, and it works okay :-)
-
I loveeee my Zumba class at the gym, but I really also enjoy lifting weights!

Wasabi and Soy! Mmmmmm

I haven't yet, but I will have by the time I'm done! This site has taught me everything I need to succeed, and the friends and support that I've made here can't be beat! You can do it!

I didn't eat back my exercise calories when I first started either. I thought the same, the less you eat the bigger burn. I started reading and asking questions, and now I understand why we should eat them, if we're reasonably sure of the amount burned. I know some people don't eat them, and lose fine. I will say that…

Is the walking something that you do everyday...like walking to work? I'm no expert, but my guess is you either need to lower your calorie burns or eat more. Your body needs a certain amount of calories a day just to function and if you're burning that much and not eating more, its going to hurt you in the long run.

Always best to open your diary when you need help :-)

I really can't think of anything that I've given up. There are things that I don't have as much of, or have as often, but that's about it! Oh, I guess I did give up soda!

I WISH I hadn't waited so long to try Zumba. I go 3 times a week now, and love it! It's a great calorie burn and so much fun! Just go and have a good time! You don't have to be able to do all of the moves, just keep moving! Nobody will be watching you, they will all be watching the instructor.

If your YMCA is like MY YMCA, they do have orientations, you just need to set up an appointment with a Wellness Coach. I LOVE my YMCA. You can have appointments with the Wellness Coaches as much as you'd like, no extra cost. They will work up a workout plan for you, whatever you'd like. Everyone is very helpful! I go 6…

I've heard of this, but haven't tried it. A couple people that did, said it wasn't very good. Thanks, but I think I'll just stick to my ice cream.
-
Thanks, but I'm just going to keep doing what's working for me, and that's eating them back :-)
-
Yes, I eat all of them back, all of the time!

One day isn't going to put you into starvation mode, but you're really supposed to come as close to your calorie goal as you can, even on rest days.
-
On the days that I'm going to the gym early in the morning, I usually just have a Vitatop muffin, or something else really light, and then I eat a good meal when I get home. I'm usually starving by that point!
-
Sure, I'd love to join!
-
Not really. I try to plan ahead as much as I can, and that helps.
-
I definitely eat my calories that I burn from exercise.
-
I have ice cream just about every night at midnight. You mean I can't do that?!?
-
I eat my cup of ice cream almost every night, when I get off work at midnight, right before I go to bed. It hasn't done me any harm.

You both look great! Congrats, you should be proud of all of your hard work! Keep it up!

I love it! I have it for the Kinect, its tons of fun and a great workout. I brought it to my Zumba instructor to borrow today, she might steal some routines for our class. I wear my HRM during the game, and the calorie count was wayyyy different. I think it said I burned about 900 calories in 50 minutes but it was actually…

I'm just planning on making tomorrow business as usual.
