You have come to the right place! Small goals will get you where you want to be, one meal at a time. You can do this!
-
That looks really cool!
-
That's what I do....
-
You've got this Chris! Having friends is a huge help :)
-
How about putting something on there that you know the weight of? Like a 5 or 10 pound bag of flour or sugar maybe?
-
Eat it! One day isn't going to ruin your journey.

You can log it under cardio instead of strength, to get a calorie burn. I use a heart rate monitor so that I can get a closer idea of what I've burned.
-
Seriously, quit thinking about it as "falling off the wagon". Life happens. Don't make it harder than it is. Don't restrict yourself more than you need to. Have fun, go out to eat sometimes, don't stress about it. As long as its the occasion and not the norm, you will be fine.

I SO love your post! I feel almost exactly the same way about almost all of it. Congrats to you, you look amazing!

I use a HRM with a chest strap, to get as close as I can on calories burned. I have the Polar FT4, and I love it.
-
I know I am definitely hungrier on rest days!
-
Do I have days where I eat whatever I want, and don't log? Sure. Usually its for special occasions. They're not the norm, but I've learned not to stress about it. Would I have reached my goal faster if I didn't? Perhaps. I think they're good for my mental health though, and if this is truly a lifestyle change, isn't it how…

I have mine set at my BMR which is 1686. I'm 5"5 and 211 pounds. I do work out 5 days a week, pretty hard usually, so I get most of my deficit from exercise. It makes it a little easier to stick to on my rest days, and I don't feel like I'm starving most of the time.
-
Good for you! I know exactly how you feel, because I was right there. I started at 322 pounds. I feel SO much better now, and I know you will too. You can do it!
-
You ROCK so hard! :) Happy Anniversary Chelle, and thanks for always being a great MFP pal, and a wonderful person. Great inspiration too!

Plug it all into the recipe calculator on this site. Either weigh it, or measure out how much is in the total recipe, then divide that by what you usually have for a serving. That should give you the calorie total per serving.

I have about 40 more pounds that I would like to lose, and then I'll re-evaluate. I'm thrilled with how far I've come though. It's been a long journey, I had two surgeries during the time I've been trying, which slowed me down a lot. It doesn't matter though, I will get there! You can too!

You just keep going. One day at a time. You don't beat yourself up if you enjoy a meal out, and go over your calories. You allow yourself to have fun. Keep thinking about why you started. Realize that its not going to happen overnight, and that it doesn't need to, because once you get to where you want to be, you won't go…

I agree with some of the others. Planning my day ahead of time, helps me SO much. When I start to feel like snacking, or whatever, I can look at my diary and see that I have it all planned out. To me, if its already in there, its easier to stick to. Are there days that I don't? Sure. But they are the exception, rather than…

Good for you for taking that first step. You have come to the right place! You are welcome to add me if you'd like, I've been at this awhile!

I LOVE Zumba and strength training. I really, really, want to like running, and learn to do it well, but ehhh not so much. I will keep trying though.
-
Converse here, right outside of San Antonio. Howdy ya'll! :)

Do it!! I didn't know a soul at my first Zumba class. It was so much fun! I go 2 or 3 times a week now ;) Don't feel intimidated, thinking that people are going to be watching you either. They're all so busy trying to watch the instructor and keep up with their own steps that they won't have time to watch you. If you try…

I like to add some Mio or Crystal Lite to my water sometimes, but the real question, is why 1200 calories?
-
You are welcome to add me :)
-
I'm sure that calorie count was for dry noodles, not cooked.
-
You've taken the first step, and come to the right place! Don't rush things, don't make it harder than it needs to be. You can do it!

I've had an abdominal hernia repair. It sucks. My doctor never told me not to do abdominal exercises afterwards though. I lift weights, and pretty much do everything I want. I do think I have another hernia now, but my doctor doesn't seem to be too concerned and I'm going to put off surgery as long as I can. It doesn't…

Congratulations, great work!

MFP gives you the calorie goal based on what you enter. If you entered that you wanted to lose less per week, it would give you higher calories. It just goes by the math....
