I couldn't imagine wearing it over would be comfortable at all!

It works for me! I started a year ago at 299, and I'm at 227 now. I don't kill myself, I have taken time off for holidays and trips out of town. I eat plenty of yummy food, and I'm down 72 pounds.

I can still look at myself in the mirror and not see a difference. But I know its there. I hear it all of the time from people around me. My pants are 4 sizes smaller than when I started, so I KNOW the difference is there. Take lots of pictures along the way. That's the only place where I really "see" it is when I look…

I stop mine as soon as my heart rate comes out of my zone, which is anything lower than 115. Usually that's right after cool down, or stretching.

Good for you for joining! I know it can be a little intimidating at first, but hang in there, you'll get over it! I think I felt a little awkward probably for the first week or so, but after that, it was fine. Hopefully at your gym, the staff will familiarize you with all of the equipment, that makes things much easier. I…

Looking great!! Keep up the hard work, its working!

If I'm going out for a special meal, I just eat what I want and don't worry about it. This is our life, we still have to enjoy it.

I usually do Zumba 3 times a week, and strength training 3 times a week with a little cardio. Sunday is a rest day.

Log it and move on, that's about it. It happens, don't beat yourself up.

The chest strap is way more accurate. Not sure why yours is uncomfortable, sorry, I hardly notice mine.

I agree, you're not eating enough.

Probably because it really depends on the person, the instructor, and how much effort you put into it. In my class I usually burn somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 calories for the hour.

Awesome work!! Good for you!
-
You look amazing!! Great job!

You have almost 800 calories left for the day? Eat! Especially if you're hungry! Sorry, I'm sure people mean well, but not sure why anyone would say to chew gum and drink water, if you're hungry and have that many calories left.

Zumba!

Sounds good to me!

According to my HRM, its not accurate, although it might be for some people. In an hour long class, which I feel is at least mid intense (my heart rate gets up to around 170), I burn anywhere from 450-550 calories normally. This site told me 703 calories just for low intensity.

I guess you are! Sorry, I'm only into basketball!

Thanks for all of the kind words!! People like you are what make this site great! :-) P.S. I'm glad some of you knew who Jason Castro was..LOL I've met him twice, he is awesome!

I hear a lot of people say that! I've never noticed that problem, but my husband has. I can't think of what I could be doing differently than he is though!

I use a Polar FT4, and love it. It's simple to use, and does the job that I want. I also like that you can use it in the pool.

You've come to the right place! Everyone (mostly everyone), here is very helpful and you should get all of the encouragement and help that you need! You can do it!

My highest weight was 2 years ago at 322, but I didn't put that. I put what my weight was when I started here on MFP.

Great post, congrats on your success!

What a great post!! You are so right!

I agree with water aerobics, and Zumba! Also, Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds are really great. She does basic moves, but gets your heart rate up there. You can do it!

Wow, thanks!!
