The smaller you cut the carrot the better they blend, diced works best, grated would probably do well too. I find the odd lump but that's usually because I don't blend for as long as I should (have to do it in short sharp bursts so I don't wake the kids lol)

I have a protein shake for breakfast: 1 scoop choc or strawberry protein powder 125g Greek yogurt 100ml Skim milk 1 banana Some ice cubes Blend together, it's tasty, and super filling :)

My favourite green smoothie has to be a handful of spinach, a carrot, some fresh orange juice, and frozen pineapple.

I am very much in favour of the old axiom "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper. Breakfast for me has been known to go up to 800 calories, usually a protein shake, wholemeal toast, boiled eggs etc. Try and make sure that I get a good balance of carbs, fat, and protein in my breakfast.

For me personally, I think starvation mode definitely exists, I used to limit myself to eating 1300 calories a day, over 500 calories below my BMR, at first the weight came off quickly, but it stopped coming off just as quickly, there just wasn't the energy to fuel my body, I was tired all the time, cranky, so I changed it…

I go 50/30/20 and rarely go over any of them, I find it a good balance and means I don't have to watch what I am eating as much. Weights are great if you can do them, even if it's bodyweight exercises like squats, dips etc.

You lost me lol.

I'm 27...feel free to add me, always nice to meet new people.

Cool. And Halterneck, too restrictive, i'd prefer something floaty lol.

Sir Gerald Goldsmith Oxley That's majestic. I'd enjoy that as an actual name.

There is nothing wrong with being a young mum, the only thing that matters is to be a good mum. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Whilst I don't have a dress hanging up to keep me motivated (it'd be all wrong for my figure ha ha ha), I do have a very nice pair of jeans and some t-shirts that my better half bought me,…

Push ups at home always make me smile, for the reason that my almost 3 year old daughter comes and sits on my back and shouts giddy up, makes the workout harder, and much more fun :D

As a dad to 2 young kids I know how tiring it can be running about after them, even more so if you're not in great shape (one of my main motivations for joining MFP is so I can play with my kids without getting shattered.) Self harming is something I have also experienced, not something i'm proud of but i'm proud of how I…

Not heard of brown rice cereals before. Have you considered having brown rice for breakfast? Cook brown rice in vanilla rice milk, stir in some honey for sweetness, it's very filling, and good for you.
-
This. I mix my protein powder in with skimmed milk, greek yogurt, and a banana, blend it together.

:D

Welcome back :) Diet Coke is amazing, ice cold, poured over a ton of ice, that's the way to do it (that doesn't involve any alcohol of course!) Feel free to add me.

For me personally, i've had much more success eating over my BMR and under my TDEE, somewhere in the middle. I also eat back my exercise cals. For a vegan, I guess plenty of Tofu, quorn etc that can get you the protein that you miss out on from meat and dairy, but you already know that. Soya protein shakes also can help.…

No turkey or fish? Egads! How about eggs? Egg white omelette is around 5/6g protein per egg and 17 cals, just don't eat the yolk, that be where the calories lay. Edited after reading your edit lol. Tofu maybe? That's good for you. Or just another protein shake instead?

Tuna is about 30g of Protein and 130ish calories. I swear by the stuff.

I'm always way over on my sugar, to the point where I stopped paying attention to it, the sugar I do have comes from fruit anyway, so i'm not that fussed about it, as fruit sugar is one of the healthier sugars after all. As long as i'm not putting on weight or getting rotten teeth I'm not worried.

You've probably developed muscle, muscle is a far denser tissue than fat, a pound of muscle takes up far less room than a pound of fat, so if you've gotten smaller but not dropped weight, muscle is most likely the cause of it.

I'm not much of a drinker so thats not an issue. I'll be making burgers with turkey mince not beef, and cooking chicken breasts on the BBQ, healthy, and I know what's in them. Might also have a go at making rice buns so don't eat too much bread.

Justin Bieber, One Direction and their fans. People who don't indicate when driving. Being judged because I have piercings and tattoos. People Who Capitalise Every Word In A Sentence Like I Am Doing Now. Religion. Keep it to yourself, don't force it on me.

I did a similar thing when I moved house, I stopped eating so well, and put on most of the weight that I had lost, now i'm back on it and have shifted the weight again, with more still to go, feel free to add me if you need the support.
-
My diary is open to my friends, i've got nothing to hide, but if you've not made the effort to befriend me on here, why would you want to look at what i'm eating? That's just being nosy, and nobody likes a nosy person.

I'm not single, but I find when i'm home all day with the better half that my eating isn't as healthy as it would be when I am at work and in my routine.
-
Welcome :D The support you'll get from people on this site is amazing, makes the whole process feel much easier!

Awesome job, well done :D
