  • are the painters in again?
  • I'm off to give blood on Thursday so I can see what they say about calories lost. Every time I give blood they recommend you take it easy and I always feel whacked out afterwards. I'm susceptible to postural hypotension anyway so I don't want to do much to cause me to go dizzy. At most I might do some yoga or go for a walk…
  • I agree with keeping weight loss simple. I've never been on a fad diet since I want to be a healthy person BTW, I'm from the UK and I've never had a Twinkie... are they really that great?
  • hairbands and clips. Though I recently got a sweeping fringe and really could do with getting an alice band to keep it out of the way. If I'm doing water work outs I always platt my hair then it's a lot easier to tease out.
  • Thanks guys. I think I'll try and stick to one day a week then and get the tape measure out as well.
  • Shock absorbers are brilliant. I remember when I first put mine on I was jumping up and down saying 'look they don't move!'
  • Mmm that's made me hungry. My motto now is if I want bread I have to make it myself from scratch. Makes it even more tasty and satisfying.
  • I tend to use olive oil or balsamic vinegar. Hemp oil is nice too if you like a slightly nutty oil and that's really good for you. Nuts sprinkled in or lighted toasted. Juice or zest from a lemon livens things up too as well as fresh herbs like mint or basil.
  • I love them. I vary my workouts but this is an old faithful. I find it very useful in the gym after work. It's just seems to stretched my whole body out and wake me up. I did 30 minutes today and it totally destressed me.
  • I try to vary things as routine can get very boring and sometimes I can be really in the mood for one workout and the next day I hate it and I'm rubbish. If you use music when you're exercising I find refreshing the playlist can sometimes revamp the whole workout.
  • Hi there. Add me if you like. I'm in need of controlling my portion size too (and also a fellow lover of wine). I've been on here just over a week and it's helping me. Good luck! :D
  • The taste of real food. I love anything I cook from scratch. I'm getting excited about making broad bean style humus tomorrow (is that silly?)
  • Hehe... sadly I feel like this is me in real life too. Should I pretend I'm the mysterious silent type?
  • Hello to you both. :) Good luck and friend me if you want. I only just started last week.
  • Hi! :D I only joined the other week so I'm probably not the expert but for portion size I'd suggest weighing out what you're eating and putting it on a smaller plate so it still looks like you're getting more. With exercise I'm just looking at my week ahead and seeing where I can schedule it in, like any other appointment.…
  • Hi there! Add me if you need a friend. I only just joined so looking for people for support too. Good luck!
  • 2! But then I only just really started on here this week. I'm sure it'll grow. :)
  • Hi there. Add me if you like. I'm looking to lose about 20lbs too. I only signed up properly last weekend so I could do with a few more friends for motivation.
  • If it's possible try and get into the gym or go on a walk during your lunch breaks. I only see my fella at the weekends so I don't do anything like gym then but I chose activities that are active like hiking or surfing so we can spend time together and get an exercise fix in as well. If you can do similar then that would…
  • I'm sort of a vase shape (like hourglass but stretched a bit). I'd like to keep that shape but just get slimmer and toned. I have short legs and I always think they look really chunky so I'd love to tone them up. I just hope all the weight comes off at the right places. My sister is pear shaped and whenever she diets the…
