I just lost my well paying job, had to cancel the gym membership and now i rely on Tivo'd fitness programs on TV to get my workouts done.   • I weigh in every week....a good milestone is maybe you have a show that you watch once a week and you can weigh in after or before the show. At that time i always do a measure. Try to weigh in at the same time every day (preferably in the am before eating). Jumping on the scale too frequently may not give you the…
  • Once a week, a treat is good. It tells your body that it is not in starvation mode. As long as you keep it to once a week i think its fine. Deprivation is not the key.
  • Chances are you are not eating enough. Your body may be in starvation mode and hanging onto everything you put in your mouth. I would at the diet and see if you need to eat more carbs, protein etc...eating six times a day will also help...
  • Your heart is in the right place....you may not have the "locks" to give but you can always give something else....clothes, sanitary goods, canned goods...etc...thank goodness there are people like you out there...
  • You may want to weigh in once to really see how much your weight fluctuates but after that...stay clear of the scales while you go through "that time"....it just disapoints.
