  • Someone may have already responded to this, but building muscle isn't going to make the scale drop, and in most cases it will go up. I hate the scale, and refuse to confide in it. ;) I just measure inches. The scale can be very discouraging when you're strength training and building muscle. Hope that helps. :)
  • Try level 3 instead of 2. It was harder, but better. And more fun, in my opinion anyway.. I quit everytime i got to level 2 until a friend recommended I skip it. :)
  • ha.. I'm the same way. My level 1 only lasted 2 days and then I went to Level 3 because I hated Level 2. 3 is brutal, but I think it's more fun personally, and it goes by faster bc I don't space out from boredom. haha!
  • awesome! thanks for all your help! That's good stuff!! :)
  • I WISH I could do an at home program, but i get home and my motivation says peace out. For me, the only thing that works is actually going to the gym, because once i drag myself through the doors, I have to stay and work out, or be the dork that walked in and did nothing for 4 minutes. haha.. I've tried Beach Body stuff,…
  • Thanks. :) Yeah I gotta stay consistent with MFP too.
  • haha!! I know!! Everytime I whine about it someone gets offended. I whine a lot. I'm not ready for 30.. I still feel 23. ;)
  • Thanks! I'll look into "clean foods". I think everything I eat is processed. ;)
  • Suck it up. :) I HATED lifting weights, but found what worked for me, which was BodyPump.. I needed someone to tell me to what to do, keep me entertained, and the group atmosphere (it's a lot easier to quit and go get a cheeseburger when you're alone). ;) But i stuck with it, kept showing up, and then one day not long…
  • I chose saline, and thats a total lie that they look or feel "more fake". haha.. No ripples, and it was the best thing i ever did for myself. I think it depends on the size and pre-surgery body as to how fake they look, not what fills them up. One big plus to saline, is if they ever leak, its not dangerous - its just salt…
  • I lift at the gym - both free weights and Les Mills Body Pump weight lifting classes. I find that it's a lot easier to get lazy and quit when you're at home and nobody sees you. haha..
  • Yep! Honestly, I don't even weigh myself, because strength training is so vital (and awesome), I go by the way my clothes fit / body looks. The scale is very discouraging. It's way more fun to measure yourself or go by progress pics. I did something the other day and caught a glimpse in the mirror of my tricep / shoulder…
  • haha!! I know.. I hear that a lot at the gym too.. from....... women. Not good. (: Sometimes its too awkward to offer the truth, but I try to offer advice when i can, and explain why that's not possible.
  • Tulsa agrees. ;)
  • I think when I got mine, I became even more modest than before, because I did not want to be "that girl", which, apparently is a very busy girl, because many of you have come into contact with her. Most people dont even know that I have them, because I dress modestly, and even though they're a 34DD, they're not oversized…
  • "See, we don't need men to make us feel like ****, for years we have excelled at doing it to each other. Yay us!" Best, and most legitimate comment in this whole conversation.
  • If possible, I would attend a Body Pump class at a local gym, if you go to one. Sometimes they'll do a free pass for a week to try them, I'm pretty sure my gym does. It's fun, the music is motivating and you can meet connect with other people. But what I found most beneficial is the built in personal training. I've had…
  • I'm 5'5, and ideally my scale goal is 125, I'm at 135 right now, and that's my starting weight. That's hard to answer for me, because I'm not a big fan of the scales, I think it's a big fat liar, and discourager. That's why I say it's ideally 125, but I do a lot of strength training, and the scale hasnt changed much, but…
  • Insurance: and for those talking about the insurance earlier, I don't know if you can through Apple, but through a regular insurance company, like State Farm, I insured my iphone for like 4 bucks a month or something, and it covered it even if it was stolen.
  • I. Phone. !!!!! But really there are some cons to either situation. I had an iPhone, switched because AT&T are in face, bloodsucking, greedy, shady jerks. (just sayin', extra fees they just make up and add that dont even make any sense.. but thats a whole other paragraph.) ;0 the phone itself, I loved, I switched because…
  • Amazing job! You look great! :flowerforyou:
  • and ps.. I don't need a book, bc I work out at Golds (love it) and there's rarely a shortage of men in too-tight Affliction shirts staring at their muscles.. Seriously, i almost fell off an eliptical laughing so hard one day... soooooo intense.. i thought the guy was gonna lick his bicep.. haha..
  • ha.. I know what you mean, but let me say one thing about makeup! :) I've had girls look at me all nasty and cross-eyed because i walk out of the locker room with makeup on.. STILL on.. because I work 8-5 and hit the gym right after, to avoid obstacles (like my comfy couch). Even if I washed the face makeup off, sorry, I'm…
