Hi, I have binging problems too.... and I am overcoming them. How? Planning my meals here in MFP and making sure I eat A LOT (My TDEE-15%), especially healthy fats. I saw a tremendous improvement in getting rid of my cravings when I switched to whole foods (not the shop, the type of food, for example whole milk, full fat…

TDEE-15% and looking good so far

time of the day when you eat or when you exercise don't matter. They may or may not have a minor impact depending on which study you read..... regarding calorie goal, this is the best link I was given. I am following the TDEE-15% rule and not eating back the calorie deficit because they are included in my activity level.…

Fantastic post! You must be very proud for taking control and saying no to those drugs. Very inspiring.....

This is NOT a diet website.... it is whatever you want it to be. First of all it should be a website to learn to eat healthy. However, you are not supposed to put back in the freezer food that has been previously frozen. Freezing the banana twice may be bad for you. You could use fresh banana maybe?

My father kept on calling my legs "Parma hams" through out my whole childhood and teenage times.... this was harsh. Also, my mum would keep on asking me why the hell I can't loose some weight. This was also harsh.

The fact that you are HUNGRY ALL THE TIME on the days when you exercise is because you are not having enough calories. Your body is telling you that. EAT MORE. Please follow the link you have been given above and set your TDEE to be at the max level of activity, because that is what it is. For example I have my TDEE-15%…

I have a Polar FT60, but bought an FT4 to give to my cousin fro present and I think FT4 works great and it is more than enough for most ppl. FT4 was about 60 bucks in amazon. I am not sure though whether you could use it the whole day (is this what you mean for "continuous monitoring"?). If so I wonder whether they are…

Agree with Vitaminddd!

If you are like me eating half won't do it as you will want it whole, and maybe another one. Log it on MFP and check the macro. Does it fit with the rest of the daily intake you planned for the day? If yes, go on and eat one. If not, say no.... the best reward to saying no: the feeling of power you will have once you have…

Yes I do, you can sneak pick at my diary and also friend me if you want. I eat over 1600 per day and this is my TDEE-15%.

If you set your diary on public I can take a look at it and give you advices

If you st your diary on public I can take a look at it and give you advices

Great, thank you for the advice! I found that 1500 cal per day are actually difficult for me to maintain as I am hungry on some days (especially if I exercise). Thus it makes sense to up a bit my calories by using TDEE-15%.
-
I have an open diary, you can add me. Also, I never eat the same meal twice ;)
-
Just to make sure (and maybe you know this): if you use the formula TDEE-20%, and in your definition of activity level you have included your exercise regime, you are not supposed to eat back exercise calories.

fast completely - you'll loose a ton of weight. (read in sarcastic tone!). Seriously, do whatever is sustainable to you. It's your choice with your body.

Well, you have not really logged consistently since June, have you? My advice is to log EVERYTHING EVERY DAY. You obviously know what you are doing b/c you have lost weight before, but how do you know how much your are eating if you are not logging? Do that, then print a full report and show it to your endo next time you…

didn't you just say he is not active?

I would recommend you to follow the advices in here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-1 I have manually set my goals in MFP and finally loosing weight w/o starving. If you are going to eat below your BMR you will be very hungry, and for a reason!
-
Take a look in my diary (especially breakfast) for high calorie food idea. Also, I am 5.2 and my BMR is over 1300. Why are you eating less than this? Drink whole milk, and don't eat any of the fat free stuff. Eat regular food, full fat. This is how I finally started to loose weight this week.

I am also trying to adjust it to a little lower. I noticed that I wasn't losing weight as efficiently as I had been in the past, spoke to my endo, tested TSH, and sure enough it was about 4. It is still an OK value according to medical standard, but previously I had 1.15 and felt much better in general. So I guess it's a…

look in my diary for today (and friend me if you want). My breakfast is pretty high calorie. It also changes every day. Today it was bread with cream cheese and fig spread, latte with brown sugar and fresh juices.
-
unless you have dairy problems, whole milk from cows (organic or even better from farms possibly)
-
I just switched to whole milk, 2 eggs per day, creme cheese, and I am thinking to start using whole total fage greek yogurt instead of the 0%. I am much more satisfied since I eat this stuff and feel the need to binge way less! And everything fits in my calorie limit. The idea of a fat free diet comes from telling ppl to…

I currently have low thyroid hormones (fixing this by seeing an endocrinologist) and I found hard (but not impossible) to loose weight. I have been there before, so I know when this happens. Speak with an endo. My doctor has been super understanding and she suggested that I send her a report of my meals and exercises…

Some of the replies made me really laugh! Everybody add me if you want, you look like a group pf MFPers full of fun!

I love zumba too. And I exercise pretty frequently. Add me if you want.
