  • Could you share the recipe for South Beach Diet Shepherd's Pie please? Thanks
  • Where do you do your shopping? I'm amazed that you can shop for £16... even with a lot of mushrooms. I'd expect things to work out cheaper when you are cooking from scratch (and tastier too) Really interesting to read what people are buying, cooking and eating. Thanks.
  • This made me laugh. Its often Saturday kitchen that steers my shopping list for the week too. I've had Good Food magazine subscription for 5 years + and find the website is great too. And as for Nigel Slater, his recipes are easy to follow, short list of ingredients and typically feature seasonal produce too. Ditto!
  • Well said. Good advice here!
  • Hi, So many of us are here with you, going around the same loop. Its so easy not to maintain the changes through winter. Thing is, if you've done it before, you can do it again!! I'm trying a more sustainable path this time so I can maintain my weight without feeling I'm missing out on anything.
  • Hi, I've done it before too and it does work. I started again last week and it hurt like hell. Just getting back to it today. Would be great to have a group to check in and have a joint moan about it! Please add me if you are up for checking in every day. As a matter of interest... what do people log it as? I log it as…
  • That's determination. Fabulous result. 17 months hard work will have changed your (longer) life forever. Congratulations.
  • Does anyone have a link to a free Dukan diet planner? Just wanted to take a look see... thanks
  • Hello. I would thoroughly recommend Jillian's workouts...although I tend to turn her sound off after I'm used to the circuits. I've seen her on the TV loads in the UK - surprised you've managed to avoid her. I just use 1kg hand weights and find this is enough to feel a difference. Its really great to join a group of…
  • Thanks LadyL2012, I share your thoughts. As I'm tracking on here, I should be fine anyway. I guess more people take to forums to complain when they have probs - less likely to share good experiences. Good to know its working well for you. I'll ;ive without the bigger boobs ...
  • Hi all, I'm 5' 8" and yoyo between Winter and summer weights anywhere between 140-130. I was at 130 before going on holiday and felt great in my bikinis. It was a great holiday... and now I'm 135 and getting back to healthier ways this week. My goal is to be 130 or just under because I feel and look best. MPF has taught me…
  • Hi, I'm 5' 8" and sitting around the 130 mark. As I'm exercising more and toning up, I dont expect to lose any more weight. Just need to keep age at bay now...
  • I agree... Having a goal to work towards really helps. My motivation for exercise is that I want to look good in my bikini on holiday. Therefore, I'm prepared to work to make it happen. I find being part of an MPF group really helps keep up motvation too. Currently, I'm doing 6 weeks to 6 pack wit a bunch of ladies from…
  • bump. Upped mine too with added exercise. Interested to read experiences on this.
  • bump. I predict this post may end up with "must bumps for a recipe" I'll certainly be trying this as soon as I track down those ingredients. Thanks
  • Thank you! Your long post will provide me with some useful reading. Really appreciate all those links. Cheers!
  • I find my system objects if I have any junk food now. I normally plan my week and shop for it. Weaknesses for me are long car drives or if my routine goes to pot. This week, I had to run some errands and missed dinner. Decided that a takeaway was in order. Paid for it big time. Made my tum feel really heavy for 24 hours. I…
  • Just posting a quick update to say thanks - you were all right! I've been doing 30 mins elliptical most days for the past few weeks. It has already made a big difference to my thighs and given me an all over boost. I'm one week in to JM's 6 pack programme too. It's great to feel better and look better in a short space of…
  • I think I have a cunning plan to beat the gravitational pull which seems to be more forceful after 40. I've decided to stand on my head for a few hours a day to reverse the trend. Might not be very practical! Seriously though, I can empathise. I'm 44 now and not giving up the fight with my middle. Just started jm's 6 weeks…
  • Comfortable with my current calorie intake but will be upping it as I up my exercise. I'm eating lots and wouldn't hesitate to eat more if I ever felt the need. As I increase exercise, I'll be paying particular attention to upping protein and iron content. On average, my RDA for iron is under 50%. I adore liver which would…
  • Hi, quite right about the ready meals of late. M&S does feature heavily in my diary. I do tend to look at the labels before purchase though. I'll make a conscious effort to cook from scratch more. I love asparagus so that's a great recommendation and in season too. I eat lots of broccoli and stir fry too. I do like spinach…
  • Business consultant - mostly based from home. Too handy for the fridge so I plan my shopping and meal planner weekly. Then I stick to it and don't buy things which are on the naughty list. Goes to pot when I'm out visiting clients and socialising.
  • I'm 5' 8" and my goal is 126. I'm currently between 130 and 133. Focused more on getting in toning and improving fitness levels. Comfort factor in my jeans tends to be my guide. I'll be happy in my bikini for summer at 126 then no doubt creep up nearer 140 in winter again.
  • Congratulations. That's a fantastic, committed achievement. I'm sure your story will help motivate others. Well done. Fab.
  • Thanks for all the useful advice and sharing your experiences. Really appreciate it. I should have been clearer about building muscle - I just dont want rugby player thighs. I've started using the elliptical for HIIT too which I think I am feeling benefit from. Watched a fascinating BBC4 programme on it. I just feel I need…
  • Create a weekly food planner and shopping list. Stick to the plan. Enjoy your food and focus on it when you are eating.
  • Trademark the butt bra idea... that's funny - and an accurate descripotion of what's neded. I don't fancy doing squats until I puke but I'll take the advice on the 2 minutes and reps until fatigue. Thanks for making me giggle too.
  • Thanks for all the speedy responses. Looks like squats are the popular choice. I do zumba most days but that doesnt seem to change my bum shape. Can you advise how many squats each day to start? Cheers for guidance.
  • Add me please. Support always welcome
