I just did a lot of shopping for mine.. Sadly, i don't think anything under100 worth buying... After a lot of reading and shopping... I bought a Polar FT7 .. The FT4 would have been decent too... Anything under 200 won't calculate your rate constantly or won't be accurate....

baking it in the oven like you found is probably the best way to start .. then you can eat the cooked flesh with spaghetti sauce, pesto, parmesan, olive oil, cream and garlic or w/e you'd like...

Yes i do that a lot .... But i'd say that now, with logging everything i eat on MFP it kinda helps to break this habbit, be cause it does get a direct and short term consequence on my goal...
