  • Are you new to MFP? I agree it can be a bit time consuming at first but shouldn't take you more than 10 min tops!! I would suggest you take the time to build your "meals" list and "my foods" list as this will save much time in the long run. Also when you log foods you have the option to choose " right , wrong or "I don't…
  • I have tried several brands. My favorite it Natures Own unsweetened. Only 30 calories per cup. I use it in everything and drink it daily. I do not like any of the flavored or sweetened varieties or the tetra packs that do not require refrigeration Only the pure real stuff for me!. It is a bit of an acquired taste. When I…
  • I am almost 5'4". with a large frame. My goal is not to be skinny. My original goal was 150. I am now 9 pounds from that goal and thinking I could be under 140 and not be too thin. Darn!!!

  • Don't be discouraged. I can relate. I am also 5'4" . I am 47 years old. Weigh 159 with body fat % at 29.4. I have my calorie goal set at 1340 but I use the Bodymedia armband so it can fluctuate. I exercise 6 days a week including a bit of running, lots of walking and throw in some core and strength training such as Jillian…
  • I've' had 2 nights of 8 :hours since Nov 2012.. Nightly average is 6:10 min.
  • I buy a cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple and a bunch of grapes. Prepare the works in chunks. Store in containers in the fridge. It makes 8-10 servings. A great snack to grab and go or when you get the munchies at home. mmm delicious:)
  • If your icon does not stay showing. Unplug your Bodymedia and plug it back in. The pop up will reappear and show the info. Click on 'show hidden icons' at the lower right of your pc and there you should be able to change the settings so Bodymedia will show up when you hover over the icon. Hope this helps!

  • Hello! I am 46. Happily married for 26 years with 2 boys age 22 and 24. I live in the BC interior and love to camp, garden and hang out with my family. Hoping to lose 20 pounds before my son's wedding in July. My long term goal is to be under 140 which I haven't been since my 20's. I have been a MFP member off and on for…
  • Congratulations!! That's great!
  • I agree with trying to move your armband a bit. I wear mine about halfway between my armpit and my elbow always facing in. When I set my BMF to 6000 steps It is consistently within 30 steps of what my treadmill and Nike fit on my Ipod record. How long have you had your BMF? It takes a good week to get used to your body and…

  • I find that if i unplug my Bodymedia from the computer and then plug it back in it often snycs right away!
  • I found the same with the Elliptical.. BMF was recording about 1/3 of the steps and fewer calories . As suggested by someone on the BMF Facebook page I tried putting the band on my calf.. Although this is not recommended my calorie count and calorie burn was almost identical to what my Elliptical was telling me. This post…

  • Try doing push ups on the stairs. Feet on the floor and hands on the 4th or 5th stair. Work on them here until you can do 10 then move your hands down a stair. Before you know it you will be doing them on the floor!!
